‘Dragon Ball Super’ Episode 94-96 Leaks Prove Hiring Frieza Was A Mistake, Villain Rampages, Then Joins U4

Dragon Ball Super fans were polarized when it was revealed that Frieza would be the final member of the Universe 7 team. While the villain was undeniably powerful, his past as a mass murderer and his tendency to betray his allies was considered as a possible liability for Goku’s team of fighters. As revealed in recent summary leaks, it appears that recruiting Frieza would indeed be a mistake, as the notorious villain would be going on a killing rampage, betraying Universe 7 and switching over to the Universe 4 team in the process.

The leaks, which were translated by noted DBS fan-translator Herms98, teased the events that would transpire within the next few weeks in the popular anime. Currently, only the official summaries for Episodes 94 and 95 are available, though leaks about the general plot of Episode 96 have also emerged.

Dragon Ball Super Episode 94, “Resurrection of the Evil Emperor! The Mysterious Awaiting Assassins?!” would feature the resurrection of Frieza, as well as a secret plan that Universe 4 and Universe 9 would come up with in order to sabotage Universe 7’s chances in the Tournament of Power.

“After finishing his negotiations with Frieza, Goku returns to Capsule Corporation. Meanwhile, Universe 4’s God of Destruction Quitela contacts Universe 9’s God of Destruction Sidra to have a secret conversation with Goku and the others in Universe 7.”

While the plot of DBS Episode 94 has already been leaked previously, the summary for Dragon Ball Super Episode 95, “The Wickedest! The Evilest! Frieza Runs Wild!!” was rather surprising. For one, it teased that Frieza, the notorious villain responsible for countless deaths since he debuted in Dragon Ball Z, would go on a killing rampage as soon as he gets resurrected. Unfortunately, Goku would be far too busy to neutralize the villain, resulting in Frieza being able to snuff out numerous lives.

“A mysterious gang lays on ambush for Goku and Frieza after they return from Hell. Frieza transforms into his Golden form and mercilessly slaughters his enemies. Goku is too busy covering Frieza’s surroundings to stop him.”

While Herms98’s Dragon Ball Super leaks have covered only until DBS Episode 95, another notable fan-translator, Ken Xyro, has provided a tentative episode summary for Episode 96. According to the noted fan-translator, Episode 96, titled “Emergency Again! The Last Warrior is Him?!” would feature the villain’s betrayal of his U7 allies, as well as the appearance of a surprising fighter for Universe 7.

“Frieza leaves and joins Universe 4 instead, so Universe 7 is one member short again. Since there is not much time before the Tournament begins, Goku goes and joins the other nine members of the team and ‘he’ is also there!”

While Ken Xyro has stated that the Episode 96 leak was not 100 percent confirmed, the premise of Frieza changing sides is something that is almost expected of the villain. Frieza, after all, is one of the evilest personas in the entire franchise. Thus, his betrayal of Universe 7 is, for all intents and purposes, well within his character. As for the fighter who would be making an appearance in Episode 96, Yamcha’s voice character has reportedly stated that he just finished recording for the character. Thus, there is a good chance that the DB veteran would be featured in the anime soon.

The idea of replacing the hibernating Majin Buu with Frieza has been considered a bad idea by avid fans of the franchise since it was first proposed. After all, among all the villains ever featured in the anime, Frieza is one which is the most irredeemable. If the leaked episode summaries of Dragon Ball Super Episode 94-96 are any indication, there is a good chance the anime would indeed prove that hiring, resurrecting and allying with the villain would be a huge mistake.
