Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie’s Kids Have Prompted The Actress To Put Her Divorce Drama Aside

Angelina Jolie is reportedly putting her divorce drama aside for the sake of her six kids.

According to a new report, 15-year-old Maddox, 13-year-old Pax, 12-year-old Zahara, 11-year-old Shiloh, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox have prompted the actress and her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, to put their differences aside months after their messy split last September.

“Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are doing everything in their power to put their egos aside and leave the drama behind for the sake of the kids,” a source told Hollywood Life on June 6. “The kids took the breakup really hard and it shocked both Brad and Angelina into realizing what their priorities are here — the welfare and happiness of the children.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in September of last year and requested she be granted with full physical custody of their kids. In the months that followed, Pitt was kept from his kids for the majority of the time as shocking rumors of abuse swirled. Although Pitt was eventually cleared of the allegations, the drama between him and Angelina Jolie continued until earlier this year when they released a joint statement and claimed to be putting up a united front.

In addition to putting their divorce drama to rest, Angelina Jolie and her former partner have reportedly taken a step back from their hectic careers in an effort to spend more quality time with their six kids.

“[Brad Pitt] and [Angelina Jolie] have made a concerted effort to scale back on their acting careers for now so they can spend as much quality time as possible with the children,” the Hollywood Life insider explained.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have also been seen out much less. Although the couple has been photographed separately a handful of times throughout the past several weeks, Angelina Jolie has kept her red carpet appearances to a minimum as she continues to focus on her children.

As for what’s next for the high-profile pair, the source went on to reveal that Angelina Jolie would love to be able to co-parent with her estranged husband in the future.

“[Brad Pitt] and [Angelina Jolie] are also interested in co-parenting in the long run,” the source revealed. “They are also working hard to come to some kind of peace agreement between themselves so they can build a working, civil, relationship as co-parents. They are both devoted parents and they’re committed to providing a stable upbringing for the kids.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie adopted three of their children, Maddox from Cambodia, Pax from Vietnam, and Zahara from Ethiopia. Their other three kids, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, were welcomed biologically.

While Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are doing their best to work towards a future co-parenting relationship, a reconciliation appears highly unlikely.

“Part of [Angelina Jolie] will always love [Brad Pitt], and yes she’s even thought about reconciling. There are obviously a lot of good reasons for them to get back together, especially for the kids. But Angie still has too many scars from their bad times,” another source told Hollywood Life. “There is still a lot of resentment on both sides. Brad was deeply wounded by the whole split and custody situation so any thought of reconciliation right now is not happening.”

Since their split, Angelina Jolie and her kids have been spending the majority of their time in Malibu, where Jolie rented a home shortly after filing for divorce, but recently, the actress purchased the Cecile B. DeMille estate, which is located a very short distance from her former marital home with Brad Pitt in Los Feliz, California.
