‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: More Returns Announced, Including Someone From JJ’s Past

Days Of Our Lives fans are patiently waiting for summer, when Ron Carlivati’s scripts as the new head writer will hit television screens. Until then, viewers are curious which characters are coming back to Salem. In the month of June, there is one more person who is returning to the NBC soap opera. This individual is someone from JJ Deveraux’s (Casey Moss) past.

There are a lot of characters coming back in the next several months, as well as a few newcomers. Unfortunately, there are also some fan-favorites that will be saying goodbye to Salem. According to the Facebook page for Jason47’s Days Website, someone from JJ’s past will be coming back.

The character is Rory, portrayed by Kevin Riggin. The last time he was seen in Salem was in December 2016, when he showed up to meet Ciara Brady (formerly Vivian Jovanni) on a date. The two had connected online, but Ciara had no idea who Rory really was until they met in person. Days Of Our Lives fans still remember on his dating profile how he wrote his occupation as a pharmaceutical rep. As viewers know, he was one of Salem’s small-time drug dealers. Even Ciara had to give Rory credit for his creativity. However, she was not interested in pursuing a relationship with the DOOL troublemaker.

It was not revealed exactly when Rory will reappear on Days Of Our Lives, just that it would be later this month. There were also no details on his storyline, so fans have been commenting their predictions. One viewer suggested that he might have something to do with the Halo epidemic. Considering Rory’s history with drugs, the speculation makes sense. If this ends up happening, then how will JJ react since he is now a detective?

Some fans commented on the Facebook post that Rory is good comic relief. However, others were not a fan of Kevin Riggin’s character. One reason is that he was never given a major storyline that tugged at the heart.

It will be interesting to find out what the writers decide to do with Rory on Days Of Our Lives. Will there be conflict with JJ Deveraux? On a previous appearance, Rory was busted and expected his friend to use his law enforcement clout and connections to get him out of it. Could fans be expecting a similar storyline or will Rory surprise everyone and turn his life around?

Of course, Rory’s storyline could revolve around a girl. After JJ cheated on Paige (True O’Brien), Rory tried to be a friend to her. Then, there was his disaster of a date with Ciara. Other than those two ladies, he has never been romantically linked with anyone on the show.

Other people who are returning to Days Of Our Lives include Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva), Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), and Will Horton (Chandler Massey). Anjelica Deveraux is also coming back, but Morgan Fairchild was cast to replace the previous actresses that played the role.

Executive producer Ken Corday told Soap Opera Digest to expect Anjelica to reintroduce two characters to the canvas. Corday also teased that Anjelica will cause major problems for Adrienne (Judi Evans) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). There is speculation that Anjelica is the mysterious Sebastian Howard that is calling in the loan for the Spectator.
