‘Monday Night Raw’ Spoilers: ‘Samoan Submission Machine’ Vs. ‘Beast Incarnate,’ New Champions Reign Supreme

Last night at Extreme Rules, the WWE superstars from Monday Night Raw did whatever it took to lead the way, and now, it is time for the next chapter. There were a number of title changes on last night’s big pay-per-view (PPV), but the biggest news is that Samoa Joe is now the number one contender to the WWE Universal Championship held by Brock Lesnar. Now, the two hard-hitting superstars are set to clash at Great Balls of Fire.

Extreme Rules brought out the hardcore side of many Raw superstars, and it ended up leading to a number of championships changing hands. The Hardy Boyz suffered their first defeat since returning to WWE, and Dean Ambrose was outsmarted by The Miz in the match for the Intercontinental Title.

The official website of WWE has released their preview for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, and it is going to be a good one. While a lot of questions were answered on Sunday night, so many others remain, and the road to Great Balls of Fire begins this evening.

Can Samoa Joe conquer The Beast Incarnate?

A lot of people thought that Seth Rollins or Finn Balor were going to win the Fatal 5-Way match at Extreme Rules, but the Samoa Submission Machine surprised them all. As a matter of fact, it was Balor who ended up being choked out by Samoa Joe which led to the former NXT Champion earning a shot at Brock Lesnar’s title.

The main event is now set for Great Balls of Fire on July 9, and it is going to be a match that fans have wanted to see for a long time. Lesnar is expected to return to Monday Night Raw next week, but it will be interesting to see what Samoa Joe has to say tonight upon earning his shot.

What’s next for Alexa Bliss?

Last night, Alexa Bliss didn’t just retain her Raw Women’s Championship over Bayley, but she absolutely squashed the “Huggable One.” She is proving that on top of the women’s division is where she belongs and where she plans to stay, but there could be much stronger competition coming her way.

WWE even points out that Nia Jax is looking for the title opportunity she was recently promised.

The Miz’s Intercontinental Championship “comeback tour” begins

The awesome one was able to outsmart Dean Ambrose at Extreme Rules, and he won his seventh Intercontinental Championship. Now, the announcers did make sure to point out that his number of reigns is second only to Chris Jericho (9), and that could lead to a fun feud in the future.

That match was also the 92nd PPV win for The Miz, and he plans on hosting a “must-see” celebration on Raw tonight with Maryse at his side.

Cesaro & Sheamus take The Hardy Boyz to the Extreme

The Hardy Boyz had been absolutely perfect since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 33 in early April, but all good things must come to an end. Team Extreme could not exit the cage fast enough and ended up losing their Raw Tag Team Titles back to the heel team of Sheamus and Cesaro.

Matt and Jeff will likely receive their mandatory title rematch soon, but this could be the end of the feud which sees both teams going in different directions.

What dirt did Corey Graves have on Kurt Angle?

Last week on Raw, Corey Graves received some interesting information about General Manager Kurt Angle that the Olympic hero fears could “ruin him.” The information was not revealed to anyone else, but there may be more about it unveiled on Raw.

As recently reported by Inquisitr, the person behind the Kurt Angle scandal may already be determined by WWE, but they won’t be revealed just yet.

Brock Lesnar has been noticeably absent since winning the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33, but he will have to return soon. It is just over a month until he must face off against Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire, and this is one of those matches that wrestling fans have longed for. Tonight’s Monday Night Raw is the first step toward that big PPV, and it will include Joe, Kurt Angle, and a host of new champions.
