Is Halle Berry Pregnant? Actress Spotted With Significant ‘Bump’ At Event [Photos]
Images taken of a glowing Halle Berry at Saturday night’s 16th Annual Chrysalis Ball in Los Angeles have led several eagle-eye spotters online to believe the actress may be pregnant with her third child.
Writers for The Jasmine Brand note that the Oscar-winning actress of Monster’s Ball and Swordfish, 50, appeared to be “carrying” a previously, publicly unmentioned plus-one to the event to support The Chrysalis Organization, a non-profit that provides assistance to those who are impoverished.
“The Chrysalis Organization is an L.A.-based nonprofit organization that provides programs and services for the homeless and those living under poverty,” Yahoo! News further detailed of the event.
“Every year the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball honors a particular individual who has made a difference in their efforts.”
While on the red carpet outside of the star-studded shindig, Berry was pictured placing her hands on top of a noticeable bump beneath her shimmery-silver dress and at one point even appeared to open her white overcoat fully to effectively display and expose her apparent expectant stature for the paparazzi.
Those who have viewed the Berry pictures “claim to see a bulge in her midsection,” The Jasmine Brand, a celebrity gossip site, goes on to say.

Berry reportedly neither confirmed nor denied anything while she was at the ball, but that hasn’t stopped social media from speculating — or rather, confirming their own suspicions — on the motherly matter.

Berry has previously given birth to two children: eldest daughter Nahla, her child with former model Gabriel Aubry, in 2008, and son Maceo Robert with French actor and then-husband Olivier Martinez in 2013. Halle and Olivier would go on to part ways two years later, with the divorce being finalized in 2016.
Prior to her relationship with Martinez, Berry’s ex, Aubry, relayed Halle’s desire to become pregnant again after bringing Nahla to the world for the sake of giving her a sibling.
“I think it’s important [to have more kids],” Gabriel, one of eight siblings himself, stated in 2009 to People, while attending another charity-themed event with Halle.
“I’ve never known anybody who’s had a single child [and] I’ve always been around big families. I believe in big families.”
Halle, on the other hand, appeared to feel quite differently about adding to her brood.
“My mind wants another child,” she admitted to Jay Leno during a Tonight Show appearance that same year, “but my body is saying something else.”
One year later, however, Aubry was gone from Halle’s life for good, as were her purported reservations to having another baby, this time with then-new beau Olivier as the hopeful child’s father.
“‘I’d love more children,” Berry beamed to the Daily Mail about the possibility of being pregnant again.
“I’m 44 [now], so who knows how much longer I can wait?”
While she may be guilty of having a back-and-forth mindset on the idea of reliving the act of motherhood, one thing that Berry has always been secure with is protecting her young ones from the occasionally invasive eyes of the media and the paparazzi.
In fact, Halle, an avid social media user, was once notorious for never posting pictures of either Nahla or Maceo online. But in an attempt to connect better with fans, she figured out a way to both loosen the self-made edict and appease her followers in one fell swoop: by cropping or covering their faces in the imagery she shared.
Berry would later explain to an inquisitive fan that the move was done as a way to allow Maceo and Nahla to have marginally normal lives.
“I’m not at all ashamed of [my] children,” she responded, as People transcribed.
“I try to find creative ways to incorporate them into my feed because they are the biggest part of my life, but I also work very hard to keep their identities as private as I can considering they are only children.”
Reps for Halle Berry would not comment on whether the actress is indeed pregnant.
