‘Bachelorette’ star Rachel Lindsay and Kevin Durant Were Once A Couple During College

Surprisingly, Bachelorette Season 13 star Rachel Lindsay and Kevin Durant have a couple of things in common. While reality TV and professional basketball may not mix too well and perhaps even compete in the ratings game, it was recently revealed that Lindsay and Durant went to the same college in Texas and even dated each other during that time.

According to US Weekly, Rachel Lindsay dated Kevin Durant when the two were still studying at the same university. Citing an unnamed source, the publication reported that their relationship lasted while both were still attending the University of Texas located in Austin.

The insider claimed that the two had a serious relationship while it lasted. However, both eventually decided to end it and it may have something to do with distance.

“They broke up when she went to law school,” the unnamed source revealed. But thankfully, the insider added that Rachel Linsay and Kevin Durant ended it on a friendly note.

Incidentally, the previous episode of the Bachelorette Season 13 featured a game that should be familiar to Rachel Linsay. The male contestants of the reality series tried to impress her with their basketball skills. NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar even guested in the show to polish her suitors’ skills in shooting some hoops.

As expected, none of the contestants reached her ex Kevin Durant’s skill level. Fortunately for them, Lindsay doesn’t judge her potential suitors based solely on basketball performance these days.

In fact, she might have found love with one of the contestants. Compared to Durant, who is still fighting for the championship by making sure his shots clears the ring, Lindsay can be considered ahead in the game as she already has a ring in the bag, well, an engagement ring to be precise.

“I am very much so in love and very much so engaged,” Rachel Lindsay happily told People in an interview. By then, the 31-year-old reality star already finished taping Season 13 of The Bachelorette, but since the show is still ongoing, the identity of the lucky man cannot yet be revealed.

“Every morning I wake up and pinch myself and I keep asking myself if this is really happening. It’s crazy at times. I feel like I don’t even deserve this.” Rachel likewise revealed to US Weekly. “I feel like I’m getting everything that I want and I am getting my happy ending.”

But of course, life isn’t that bad for Kevin Durant either, especially with the Golden State Warriors winning their first game against the Cavs. But there could still be another reason for Kevin to be extra happy and motivated these days if rumors are correct.

In a previous report by the Inquisitr, Kevin Durant is currently being linked to Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, the Golden State Warriors sideline reporter. According to the report, there are talks that Durant is currently seeing Gold-Onwude, but wants to keep the relationship low-key.

KD is seeing Rosalyn Gold-Onwude under the radar–since she is sideline reporter for GSW. She’s very pretty and they have a special chemistry when you see them, plus all his boys follow her on Instagram,” sports gossip site Terez Owens previously reported.

At the moment though, neither party is confirming or denying the rumors. Kevin Durant has not been reported to be seeing anyone else right now. The 2014 NBA MVP was previously dating two-time WNBA champion Monica Wright but their relationship ended back in 2014. The split was said to be so devastating to Durant that it instilled doubts in him if he will ever find happiness again.

“I go to sleep at night, like, ‘Am I gonna be alone forever?’ Am I gonna be alone forever? Am I gonna have kids? I feel like there’s no hope. But I still gotta have faith.”

After three years, perhaps it’s the perfect time to get back in the game for Kevin to have his own happy ending. Let’s wait and see.
