Jinger Duggar Makes Another Big Life Change Because Of Husband Jeremy Vuolo
Jinger Duggar fans are celebrating the Counting On star’s latest revelation about her new life, and this one has nothing to do with fashion. According to Jinger, Jeremy Vuolo is getting her to expand her horizons by doing a lot more reading.
Fans of Counting On already know that Jinger Duggar’s husband seriously loves his large collection of books. Jeremy Vuolo’s stuffed bookshelves were a major point of contention between him and his sister-in-law, Jessa Duggar, in the Counting On episode “Bachelor Pad Makeover.” Jessa offered to help Jinger and her “babe” redecorate his apartment in Laredo, Texas, and she fought hard for her vision of what her younger sister’s new home should look like, and Jeremy advocated for keeping his bookshelves in the living room.
“When it comes to my books, they really are the front and center decor in the apartment, so I’m hoping that doesn’t change,” Jeremy said.
However, Jessa Duggar informed her brother-in-law that one of his bookshelves would have to go in the closet to make room for new furniture.
“My books are going in the closet?!” an incredulous Jeremy asked.
When Jessa told him to pick a shelf to move, Jeremy said that it was “like telling me I have to choose between my children.”
Luckily for Jeremy Vuolo, his wife doesn’t share her sister’s disdain for his books. In a recent Instagram post, Jinger Duggar revealed that she has a newfound love of reading.
“Jeremy loves books. I love Jeremy. Now I love books,” Jinger captioned a photo of her husband holding a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other.
On Friday, Jeremy Vuolo revealed that it’s been a year since he and Jinger Duggar made their relationship official, and his wife’s life has changed in some pretty extreme ways since then. She now lives far away from her family; she’s a bona fide bookworm; and, as the Hollywood Gossip reports, she’s wearing pants because Jeremy says that she has permission to do so. Jinger also has her own Instagram account, where she can post goofy pictures like the one below.
The photo of Jeremy holding a book was taken in a used bookstore, so it looks like Jinger has also changed her husband by getting him to embrace the Duggar family mantra: “Buy used and save the difference.”
Some fans are thrilled that Jinger Duggar is doing more reading now that she’s married, and they’re offering suggestions on which books she should pick up. However, she probably won’t be getting lost in Harry Potter’s world of witchcraft and wizardry anytime soon. When one fan asked her what she’s reading right now, she revealed that the book she’s curling up with is In Light of Eternity, a biography on Christian evangelist Leonard Ravenhill.
Jeremy Vuolo is in the religious section of the used bookstore in Jinger Duggar’s photo, and most of the beloved books on the pastor’s shelves appear to be works relating to Christianity. Some of the titles that are visible in the aforementioned Counting On episode include Think No Evil, Revival & Revivalism, Power through Prayer, Come Down Lord, Pentecost Today, and Joy Unspeakable. He also owns copies of the Duggar family’s books A Love That Multiplies and Growing Up Duggar.
Some Duggar fans aren’t that excited about Jinger reading books about religion just because her husband enjoys them.
“You are allowed to love thing[s] independent of your spouse,” wrote one of her Instagram followers. “I am glad he has given you a greater appreciation of the written word, I just hope you also develop your own sense of self. I truly admire you Jinger.”
“You didn’t like books until Jeremy liked books, so now you like books? That’s just sad. Are you allowed to have other interests?” another commented.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jinger Duggar does have her photography hobby, and she’s using Instagram to show off her work. Judging from the two photos above, it’s clear that she already has a favorite subject to photograph.
