Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi Split Rumors Continue: Are They Headed For Divorce?
Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi are facing new rumors of an impending split.
On June 1, OK! Magazine shared a series of photos of the talk show host’s actress wife and revealed that Portia de Rossi appeared to be quite angry as reports regarding her alleged marital troubles with Ellen DeGeneres continued.
“Rumors of a split between Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres have been brewing for quite some time now, and the look on the Australian actress’ face on Thursday only fueled the speculation of a split,” the outlet explained to readers.
According to the magazine’s report, Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi are allegedly headed for divorce after nearly a decade of marriage. As fans may recall, the couple embarked on a romance in 2004 after DeGeneres split from Alexandra Hedison following a years-long relationship.
Prior to Hedison, Ellen DeGeneres was involved in a relationship with actress Anne Heche. As for Portia de Rossi, she was married to filmmaker Mel Metcalfe before coming out as a lesbian years later and embarking on a romance with director Francesca Gregorini.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s marriage took place at their Beverly Hills home in August of 2008 and was attended just 19 guests, including DeGeneres’ mom, Betty, and de Rossi’s mother, Margaret Rogers.

OK! Magazine’s report went on to reveal that Portia de Rossi looked quite upset about something as she ran errands in Beverly Hills. The outlet also noted that de Rossi kept her left hand and ring finger hidden from photographers.
“Even though De Rossi appears tired and unhappy, she still looked beautiful,” the magazine continued, noting that the actress wasn’t wearing any makeup during the outing.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have been confronted with rumors of a possibly impending divorce for the past several months and earlier this year, actress Drew Barrymore was tied into their alleged marital problems.
In March, a Radar Online report suggested Portia de Rossi felt threatened by her wife’s close relationship with Drew Barrymore, who serves as the narrator on DeGeneres’ latest project for NBC, First Dates. As the outlet claimed, DeGeneres and Barrymore have an unspoken language that de Rossi is simply not a part of.

At the end of last year, following numerous rumors of a possible split, Ellen DeGeneres spoke to People magazine about her wife, Portia de Rossi, and shut down any reports of tension between them.
“I’m so grateful for the love in my life because not everybody finds that. Not everybody finds that best friend,” she said in October of 2016. “Portia and I constantly say to each other, ‘We are so lucky.’ I’ve gotten to a place where I really am just settled. Really. I know that I’m not going anywhere. She’s not going anywhere.”
Ellen DeGeneres went on to reveal that when it comes to relationships, “you get what you give.”
Ellen DeGeneres was then asked about the best part of her marriage to Portia de Rossi, and she couldn’t help but gush over their years-long relationship.
“There’s no best part. It’s everything,” Ellen DeGeneres gushed. “I can’t imagine not being married. I have my best friend, the person I want to spend time with more than anybody else in the world.”
As for the ongoing rumors regarding potential marital issues, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have both remained completely silent about the speculation into their alleged split.
