The Weeknd Spoiling Selena Gomez Amid Engagement Reports — Couple Headed For Wedding?

The Weeknd clearly can’t seem to get enough of Selena Gomez.

According to reports, ever since the twosome got together back in December, The Weeknd has been head over heels in love with the “Bad Liar” singer so much that he’s been spoiling her with all kinds of fancy trips and lavish gifts.

From what Hollywood Life has gathered, The Weeknd truly believes that his romance with Selena is the most genuine one he’s had out of all the relationships he’s been in, which fans somewhat deemed as a diss towards ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid.

The model took a break from the “Starboy” hitmaker so that both of them could focus more of their attention on their hectic careers, but never did she expect that The Weeknd was going to move on from the romance and start seeing Gomez.

For The Weeknd, he definitely seems to think that he made the right decision, having told pals that Selena has made him the happiest he’s ever been in his entire life.

Sources say that the couple is inseparable — they love being around one another, and whenever Gomez has the chance to see her man perform in concert, she’ll fly wherever she has to just to catch him on stage. The Weeknd loves that about her.

Despite his demanding schedule, the 27-year-old always finds it in himself to make time for his girlfriend, even if it’s just a quiet night out at a local restaurant or catching a movie at a nearby theater. What matters the most is that The Weeknd can get away from his career for a second and simply focus on his romance with Gomez.

“Abel [The Weeknd] loves it when Selena comes to watch his shows, it really spurs him on to give an even better performance than usual,” a source reveals.

“He [The Weeknd] wants to be the best man he can possibly be for Selena, as well as the best musician, and the best boyfriend—he wants to make her proud. Abel is always trying to think of romantic things to do for Selena, like writing her loving notes, sending her flowers, cooking all the foods she loves best, and scoring screeners of her favorite TV shows and movies to watch together cuddled up on the sofa.”

The insider concluded by saying that it’s very rare for The Weeknd not to think about Selena, especially when he’s on tour in another country. He wishes she could be by his side at all times, but as Gomez is finalizing her forthcoming album, she’s been left no choice but to stay back in LA to finish her record, which sources say is hitting stores later this year.

News of The Weeknd’s undying love for Selena comes just weeks after reports had claimed that the “I Feel It Coming” hitmaker was planning to propose to the 24-year-old. While the report was deemed as nothing more than a rumor, as revealed by Heavy, the story has been rather persistent, with other outlets adding that when the time is right, The Weeknd certainly wants to get on his knee and pop the question.

Considering that he’s currently focused on his world tour, and with the news that his girlfriend will soon be hitting the road in support of her forthcoming album, it seems as if proposing at this given time would be an abnormal move, in the sense that neither one of them even has the time to plan a wedding, let alone find enough time for themselves.

A rep for The Weeknd has refused to comment on the rumors regarding the star’s plans to propose. It seems that for the time being, the couple is just enjoying being in each other’s company.
