Kate Middleton Whistle-Blower: High School Friend Spills Pregnancy News Before Official Announcement

A Kate Middleton whistle-blower spilled the news about the royal pregnancy before the official announcement, forcing the Royal Palace into a hasty announcement on Monday morning.

The Kate Middleton whistle-blower was Jessica Hay, a high school friend of the duchess, Shine from Yahoo! News noted. Hay spoke to Australian gossip magazine New Idea, giving details about the pregnancy and the upcoming announcement from Kate and Prince William.

“They’re planning to make an announcement in December,” Hay told the magazine. “They’ve discussed it endlessly and don’t want to be older parents.”

Hay spilled a number of other details, like that William planned on being a “hands-on dad” and that the couple wanted “boys or two girls, they don’t want more.”

Soon after the Kate Middleton whistle-blower gave away the news, the duchess was admitted to a hospital with severe morning sickness and the royal palace could no longer keep the news. A terse announcement was made on Monday morning.

Kate Middleton’s pregnancy has since turned into front-page news in the UK and around the world, and the endless speculation about her unborn child has begun. Already tabloids have begun to speculate about what the child will look like, what name the royal couple will select, and whether Kate’s unique medical condition could mean she’s having twins.

This is not the first time that Jessica Hay acted as a Kate Middleton whistle-blower. While the royal couple were dating, she was a major source of relationship news for UK tabloids as well as bits about Kate’s somewhat wild past at Marlborough College, an elite boarding school they attended.
