World War 3: North Korea Vows To ‘Step Up’ Nuclear Force, DEFCON Level Moved To 4

In World War 3 news, the DEFCON level, normally at 5, has been placed at 4 as North Korea refuse to relent with their nuclear missile program and vow to “step up” their nuclear force. DEFCON, known as the Defense Readiness Condition, is used by the United States Armed Forces and is an alert system put in place in order to determine where the world is at in terms of global peace or warfare.

Earlier this month, a statement was issued which explained that the DEFCON level would be placed at 4 due to the fact that there “are events occurring in the world theater which require closer monitoring,” as the Express report.

While there is technically no immediate threat of World War 3 or any specific nuclear threats against the United States right now, DEFCON remark on their website in a statement that they have deemed it is safer to keep the level at 4 because of the worry and uncertainty over North Korea.

“The United States and North Korea continue to face off, with tensions continuing to escalate. Many assets have been moved into the area, and North Korea continues to advance its nuclear program. A North Korean missile has successfully re-entered the atmosphere, a significant step in its ICBM tech. North Korea is also building artificial islands and installing military installations on them.”

North Korea not only says that they will continue with their nuclear program, but Kim Jong-un also maintains a steady propaganda machine which continually claims that it will destroy anything that the United States sets in its path, which hardly helps to calm fears over World War 3 eventually happening as a result of this.

“Whether it’s a nuclear aircraft carrier or a nuclear submarine, they will be turned into a mass of scrap metal in front of our invincible military power centerd on the self-defense nuclear deterrence.”

DEFCON have said that the warning level will remain at level 4, or what they also call Blue, until it is determined whether or not the situation with North Korea ends up becoming “the new normal.” They further note that the “Korean theater is very volatile and can erupt with little warning,” which those concerned are hoping doesn’t turn into World War 3.

Despite fears over World War 3, North Korea have said that they will not relent and give up their nuclear program and are now claiming that they will even “step up” their nuclear work, according to CNN. They claim that countries like the United States already have working nuclear weapons and, as this is the case, believe that it is highly hypocritical to say that North Korea shouldn’t have their own weapons in place.

They further state that no amount of sanctions or pressure from America will stop them from their mission to have working nuclear missiles.

“The increased sanctions and pressure will compel the DPRK to further step up its moves for diversifying and modernizing its nuclear force.”

While the DEFCON system would have to be at level 1 for a serious nuclear war or even World War 3 to occur, 4 is not a good level to be at and the political analyst Nicolle Wallace recently spoke on the Today Show and maintained that the White House has what she called a “DEFCON 4 political crisis” in the works currently.

In April, Donald Trump made a promise that the problems that the United States had with North Korea were things that could be fixed and that these issues “would be taken care of,” as VICE note, yet the world watches and waits to see what the next step will be.

Do you think it’s significant that the DEFCON warning has moved to level 4 and are you concerned that North Korea could trigger World War 3?
