Ryan Edwards Drugs: Fiancee Mackenzie Standifer And Her Family Are Reportedly Planning Intervention

Ryan Edwards will soon be targeted with an intervention.

After his ex-girlfriend, Maci Bookout, told her Teen Mom OG co-stars about Ryan Edwards’ alleged addiction to drugs and admitted to her husband that she feared for his life, a source claims Mackenzie Standifer and her family will soon sit down and talk about Edwards’ troubles.

“We’ll get together and talk about it,” Bob Standifer Jr. revealed to Radar Online. “Mackenzie and Ryan are adults. I won’t talk without them present. Anything that we talk about, we’re all going to sit down together.”

Although Ryan Edwards is reportedly struggling with substance abuse issues, Standifer Jr., the father of the reality dad’s fiancee, told the outlet that he remains excited to welcome Edwards into his family after he marries Standifer later this year.

“[Ryan Edwards] is a great guy,” he said.

During Monday night’s episode of Teen Mom OG, Maci Bookout, the mother of Ryan Edwards’ eight-year-old son, Bentley, broke down while discussing Edwards’ issues and his family’s alleged denial over the situation. She also said that if it weren’t for his family’s rumored denial, Ryan Edwards would likely welcome the idea of going to rehab.

Maci Bookout then told her husband, Taylor McKinney, that she was planning to confront Ryan Edwards with the idea of rehab.

According to Radar Online, Mackenzie Standifer confirmed Ryan Edwards’ alleged drug use after Monday night’s show on Twitter. In her tweet, Standifer encouraged fans to pray for her and Ryan Edwards and slammed people for putting him down.

Standifer also seemingly confirmed her dedication to Ryan Edwards with a telling re-tweet.

“Being married someday is going to be so dope,” she re-tweeted. “Like you get to come home to your best friend every single day and just do life together.”

Ryan Edwards proposed to Mackenzie Standifer at the end of last year and on November 18, 2017, the couple will tie the knot in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Although the couple hasn’t said a whole lot in regard to their upcoming wedding, Standifer shared a photo of herself in a bridal boutique months ago.

Ryan Edwards was accused of using drugs at the end of last year but denied the allegations at the time. As for the recent rumors, the reality star has stayed completely silent on social media as reports of addiction continue to swirl.

Although Mackenzie Standifer’s dad spoke of an intervention, he did not say anything about when or how he and Standifer would confront Ryan Edwards about his alleged struggles. Instead, he simply said the intervention would take place among the three of them and noted that he did not have any ill will towards the Teen Mom OG star.

With Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer set to wed in less than eight months, there isn’t much time to spare when it comes to getting Edwards help and on Twitter, fans continue to weigh in on the situation with their concerns.

“I am praying for you. I am praying that Ryan gets the help he needs… For Bentley, for you, for himself. He’s strong, he can do it,” one person recently wrote.

“Sending prayers & hoping for a full recovery and health for [Ryan Edwards] and strength for y’all to do what needs to get him healthy again for everyone,” another added.
