Jennifer Garner is setting the record straight about her divorce with Ben Affleck after People published an unauthorized cover story.

Jennifer Garner released a surprising statement via Facebook on Wednesday afternoon. The actress confirmed that she did not pose for or authorize the People magazine cover which claims to detail her divorce from Ben Affleck.
It is unusual for the A-list actress to comment on her personal life or dispute the tabloids. However, this news article prompted Garner to speak out.
“It has been brought to my attention that there is a People magazine cover and article out today that appear to be coming from me.”
“It isn’t unusual for me to receive calls from loved ones thinking I forgot to tell them I am pregnant–with twins!–(Geez Louise), but those are so ridiculous they’re easy to ignore.”
The mother-of-three continued to say that she was only speaking out because this affected her and her family so she “wanted to set the record straight,” according to E! News.
“I did not pose for this cover. I did not participate in or authorize this article.”
“While we are here, for what it’s worth: I have three wonderful kids and my family is complete.”

Their children are their main concern
Jennifer Garner filed for divorce from Ben Affleck in April after 10 years of marriage in June 2015. The couple share three children, Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5.
The former couple has agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their kids.

An insider recently told E! News that it has been a “hard few months” for the Jen and Ben but that “you would never know.”
“Jen always has her head up high and a smile on her face. She does a great job of keeping it together for the kids.”
An insider told People that their children were Ben and Jennifer’s main priority and have been throughout their separation.
Affleck has reportedly moved to a home nearby so that the transition can be as easy as possible for the kids.
“They want to be sure the kids are comfortable. It’s all in step with what they’ve always said was the most important thing: their children.”

After Garner came out with the statement denying her participation in the People cover story, a spokesperson for People said that the magazine “covers Hollywood stars beloved by our audience, and our story on Jennifer Garner is fair and truthful.”
“To be clear, it does not include rumors and does not say she’s pregnant. We wish her well.”
