Jennifer Garner Refuses To Date Since Split From Ben Affleck, Still Considers Him ‘Love Of Her Life’

It’s been two years since Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck broke the hearts of their fans by announcing their intention to divorce. Even after letting the public know of their plan to split, the ex-couple has remained friends and has done well with co-parenting their three children. The Daredevil stars have filed legal documents and Affleck has moved out of their family home a month ago. The Justice League actor has reportedly started taking steps of moving on by dating, but the Miracles From Heaven star isn’t interested in finding someone new at the moment.

In a People cover story, a source revealed that Jennifer Garner isn’t throwing herself out there. The 45-year-old actress may have moved on from the divorce and is now happy, but she is said to be more focused on her kids and the future. As for jumping back into the dating scene, the insider said that the actress is not thinking about it for now, and that’s probably because she still considers Ben Affleck as the “love of her life.”

“She will eventually, but it will be a while before she does. She’s certainly not jumping up and down and screaming, ‘I’m single!’ and planning dates. She still says Ben was the love of her life.”

Jennifer may still be open to the idea of dating, but it isn’t on her list of priorities, according to E! News in an earlier report. A source told the news outlet that the kids will remain Jennifer’s top priority as they have always been. Garner is reportedly open to the idea of meeting someone, but she won’t be focusing on finding that person.

“The kids will always come first. If she happens to meet someone, then she is open to that as well. But, she isn’t going to set her sights on finding someone.”

Garner has more projects to think about, and that should be enough to keep her busy. She has three upcoming films: Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda,
The Tribes of Palos Verdes, and Wakefield. Jennifer Garner is also executive producing and starring in The Tribes of Palos Verdes.

The actress was also seen to be comfortable being a single mom after the Memorial Day weekend when she was walking her kids to school, the Daily Mail reported. If she’s not with the kids, Jennifer is also hitting the boxing ring, sweating it out hard.

Garner was spotted attending a boxing class at Santa Monica’s BoxUnion on Sunday, Page Six reported. A source for the publication described Jennifer as a “ray of sunshine” who was beaming with positivity. She was all smiles and was seen to be working hard at the gym.

Ben Affleck, on the other hand, is more ready to be out there, according to reports. Contrary to his ex-wife, the filmmaker is reportedly interested in the idea of dating, but Ben would not change any arrangements he had with Jennifer. He will continue to co-parent Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel and be there for them. According to a source, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star will still get to spend holidays and take vacations with his family. Although Ben may have moved out of the family home, he has now picked a house nearby to stay in just so he can be close to the kids and still have a daily role in their lives.

“They want to be sure the kids are comfortable,” a source close to the couple told People. “It’s all in step with what they’ve always said was the most important thing: their children.”

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck met on the sets of Daredevil and Pearl Harbor in 2003, began dating in 2004, and got married the following year. They were married for 10 years.
