Ryan Edwards Fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer, Repsonds To Allegations That Ryan Is On Drugs

Monday night on Teen Mom OG, Maci Bookout, the mother of Bentley, eight, and Ryan Edwards’ ex, made the shocking claim that the reality TV star has been abusing drugs. Amber Portwood, Teen Mom costar, who has also abused drugs in the past, stated that she thought from Ryan’s behavior on the show that it appeared he was often “out of it.”

Maci Bookout broke down in tears during a vacation she took with Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood and their significant others, saying that she was afraid Ryan Edwards would do something he couldn’t come back from one day. She also said feared for the safety of her son, Bentley.

Ryan Edwards, nor his parents, Jen and Larry who are heavily featured on the show, have made a statement about whether or not he is abusing drugs. However, it was reported that last year, he was cornered by a paparazzi to ask about his strange behavior and the fact that his eyes are often opened very wide during the show. He denied the allegations, and their field producer, Jaala Webster, stated that Ryan Edwards is sometimes just very tired which is why he acts that way.

Amber Portwood begged to differ.

“Ryan’s f**ked up,” she told Maci Bookout during their tropical vacation. “I watch it, I see it, I know it. Where he’s at right now, when I see him, I know where he’s at and I’m like, ‘Wow, he needs some guidance.'”

Mackenzie Standifer, who is due to marry Ryan Edwards this November, not only made a statement to Twitter, but also released one to The Ashley, cleverly evading the question.

“Let them wonder, let them assume, and then let them eat cake. I don’t feel like I need to defend myself to viewers. When they walk in my shoes or pay my bills, then maybe. But I have absolutely no respect for individuals who choose to put everyone else down.”

She also took to Twitter to air her frustrations, which seemed to imply in a way that perhaps something is actually wrong after all.

“Here’s a thought… maybe instead of making assumptions and tearing people down, you could spend that time praying for us instead,” the mother of one and Bentley’s stepmom penned on her social media account.

Although Mackenzie and Ryan Edwards have yet to make a statement confirming or denying the allegations, Maci Bookout was more than candid about the issues. She even revealed that she spends nights in bed crying because she is so scared of what will happen to her ex.

“I’m just sick of cleaning up his mess. I get tired of dealing with the s**t. Just being the only one that f**king sees everything and cares. I talk to Taylor [McKinney] about it like, ‘I wonder if today’s going to be the day that Ryan does something that he can’t come back from?'” she stated in a heart-to-heart with the other Teen Mom OG women.

Catelynn Lowell, who has faced her own battle with depression and abuse and went to rehab for it told Maci that she thought Ryan Edwards would go to treatment if he was pushed.

Maci Bookout, who has always appeared incredibly put together, recently opened up about some of the struggles of her own. She stated that after her daughter, Jayde, was born, she suffered serious postpartum depression, just like her co-star Catelynn Lowell. She also revealed that she was incredibly worried when she found out she was pregnant with her son, Maverick, just months after giving birth to Jayde. However, her father and her husband and eldest son were huge champions in helping her realize she could do it after all.
