Demi Lovato On That Manchester Benefit Concert Snub And On Teaming Up With Kate Hudson

Demi Lovato is an unstoppable force these days with a new album in the works, a new single, and an eagerness to participate in partnerships far and wide. She’s even making peace with her past, as proven by her recent shout-out to former rival Miley Cyrus over her substance abuse rehabilitation. While the future is bright for Lovato, it seems love for the “No Promises” singer isn’t as universal as she might have hoped. She recently reacted to fan interest in seeing her perform at the planned One Love Manchester Benefit Concert.

Demi Lovato Won’t Sing At One Love Manchester Benefit Concert And Here’s Why

Following the tragedy at her Manchester concert, Ariana Grande set about organizing a benefit concert, also to take place in the area, as Just Jared reports. In addition to Grande, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Usher, Take That, Pharrell Williams, and Niall Horan are all set to perform. If you noticed that Demi Lovato’s name is nowhere to be seen in that list of performers, you’re not the only one.

Many fans have been wondering why Lovato isn’t going to be appearing at the One Love Manchester Benefit Concert, taking to Instagram to ask Demi why she hasn’t been included in the list of acts. Lovato had a short response.

“Cause I wasn’t asked,” Lovato replied in a comment.

The response seems especially curt and filled with disappointment, particularly after the “No Promises” singer publicly reached out to Ariana, following the Manchester attack.

“I’m so sorry you had to go through this Ari.. This isn’t fair and nobody should have to go through this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the victims,” wrote the singer in a caption of Grande and herself hugging at a previous event. “I love you so so so much.”

In a separate tweet, Ms. Lovato again reiterated her grief for the concert-goers who lost their lives in the Manchester attack and again reached out to Ariana Grande.

Demi Lovato will be performing at JBL Fest in Las Vegas from July 27 through July 29.

Demi Joins Forces With Kate Hudson For A New Fabletics Collection

Proving that she’s always willing to take a risk on a new partnership, the Hollywood Reporter reports Demi Lovato is partnering with Kate Hudson on a new Fabletics collaboration. In fact, Lovato’s line will be the first collaboration of its kind, offering fans Demi’s own signature line of activewear. Fabletics offers activewear products that often feature words and phrases intended to inspire wearers to stick to their fitness plans.

The new Lovato line will keep with that tradition by featuring the names of Demi’s songs on various products. Fabletics tops and leggings will feature Lovato song titles, such as “Confident” and “Unbroken.”

Demi says she has been a long-time fan of Hudson’s activewear line because they’re cute, but adds that she also endorses them because of the messages they send to women.

“The company is all about inspiring women and empowering them to be the best version of themselves, to be strong, and it doesn’t matter what shape, or size, or age,” says Ms. Lovato. “It’s just about empowering women and I love that.”

Demi doesn’t just wear Fabletics for the look. She lives an active lifestyle, whether she’s kickboxing or taking her muay thai and jiu-jitsu training sessions. From the standpoint of an active woman, Demi adds that Fabletics activewear is comfortable, even in problem areas. Lovato cites the compression in the pants and a compression bra as the highlights of her new Fabletics collection.

“The compression in the pants is something that I wanted to make sure was on point and the team killed it,” says Demi Lovato.
