Are Amber Portwood And Matt Baier’s Alleged Sex Tape Plans Nothing More Than A PR Stunt?
Could Amber Portwood and Matt Baier be using the speculation into their possible sex tape to garner themselves extra publicity?
Following Amber Portwood’s confirmation of having met with Vivid Entertainment’s Steve Hirsch, a report claims the Teen Mom OG star and her fiancé may be discussing the idea of a sex tape only to get the attention of fans.
On May 29, Celebuzz claimed Amber Portwood might have only met with the porn company due to an alleged PR stunt created by her management team, GR Media. As the outlet explained, fans have noticed that Amber Portwood’s sex tape news feels reminiscent of a sex tape scandal that Mackenzie McKee, formerly of Teen Mom 3, faced years ago when represented by the same agency.
“The GR Media group has also made a point of having their clients get plastic surgery and be super public about it,” Teen Mom Talk Now explained to readers. “The more coverage they get, the better. So when you think about it… The meeting with Vivid Entertainment might not have even happened, but is it really all for show?”
Amber Portwood’s fellow Teen Mom, Mackenzie McKee, faced rumors of a leaked sex tape but in the end, she confirmed that a sex tape never actually existed. As for Amber Portwood, it does not appear that she and Matt Baier have made a sex tape at this point. Instead, they allegedly met with Vivid Entertainment to find out how much money they could make if they were to produce a film of themselves.
Amber Portwood has gotten tons of publicity in the days since confirming her meeting with Vivid Entertainment, but as she pointed out last week, she and Matt Baier aren’t yet sold on the idea of a sex tape.
As fans may recall, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier started off the month making headlines for their alleged split, but despite claims of cheating and a failed lie detector test, the pair is still together and planning to get married.
In addition to the publicity the couple has been getting due to their alleged relationship drama, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier have also made headlines for their ongoing feud with their Teen Mom OG co-star, Farrah Abraham, who immediately named them copycats after hearing news of their potential plans for a sex tape.
Abraham was the first Teen Mom OG star to star in a sex tape and did so with porn star James Deen in 2013. The film launched Abraham into a new level of fame and led to a successful line of sex toys and a series of erotic books.
Could Amber Portwood be hoping to see the same kind of success with a PR stunt about a sex tape? Only time will tell.
Amber Portwood hasn’t had an easy life since joining the cast of Teen Mom years ago. As fans will recall, Portwood was sentenced to a five-year prison term in June 2012 after refusing to complete a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program.
Although Amber Portwood eventually was granted an early release from the facility, her drama was far from over, and years later, after her fiancé was introduced on Teen Mom OG, the reality star faced allegations of hidden children. However, according to Amber Portwood, she’s completely in the loop with the amount of children Baier has fathered.
