Steve Harvey’s ‘Funderdome’ TV Show Casting: Entrepreneurs Apply To Try And Win $10,000 – $100,000 Seed Money

Steve Harvey is gaining buzz for his forthcoming ABC show titled Funderdome. Harvey may have gotten flak for meeting with then President-elect Donald Trump on Friday, January 13, in the lobby of Trump Tower, as seen in the above photo, but Steve isn’t letting anything slow him down from his TV show duties. Harvey once again made the news for a leaked email allegedly sent to his talk show employees about not bothering Steve in his dressing room or stalking him down in the hallway, but it’s Harvey’s Funderdome show that’s the latest buzz on social media.

Funderdome is set to premiere on Sunday, June 11, from 9:00-10:00 p.m., on The ABC Television Network. However, Funderdome clips showing up on YouTube promoting the show that pits to two inventors against one another are already gaining attention, such as those shown below. Funderdome features a live studio audience that acts as customers for the products, services, seeding idea or firms on Funderdome.

To decide the winner, the Funderdome audience will vote for whatever product or service or company they think is better. Seemingly in direct contrast to Shark Tank, Funderdome won’t feature Harvey telling the Funderdome entrepreneurs that they are dead to him, nor shooting them down with terms such as, “I’m going to stomp you like the cockroach you are.” According to ET Canada, Harvey said the show isn’t mean-spirited. Nobody is getting shot down. People have great ideas, said Harvey, and they just need funding.

How To Apply To Steve Harvey’s Funderdome

According to ABC’s casting page, the Funderdome show is currently interviewing people who are 18 years of age or older to be considered to appear on Funderdome.

“The inimitable Steve Harvey is hosting a new, groundbreaking show on ABC looking for great innovators and entrepreneurs to help fund their American dream. We’re looking for mom and pop businesses, unique and interesting products, or creative ideas that just need a little more money to jumpstart their next phase. You could win anywhere from $10,000 – $100,000, all you have to do is win over the live studio audience and convince them that you deserve to be funded.

“Great innovators whose personalities match the creativity and uniqueness of their business/product. Please email us your Name, Age, Contact Info, and a Brief Non-Confidential Description of your business, product or idea. Thank you so much and we look forward to hearing from you. Must be 18 years or older to submit an inquiry. Parents may submit an inquiry on behalf of their minor child. Other eligibility requirements will apply. To apply: Send producer an email.”

Funderdome Products Already Going Viral On Social Media

The Funderdome buzz already shows certain products featured on the show gaining buzz on social media. After participants agree to certain rules that Funderdome sets forth, such as acknowledging that their Funderdome email idea submission means they are “being considered by Finnmax LLC, American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. and their respective affiliated or related entities” to “be a participant on Steve Harvey’s Funderdome,” and they won’t get paid or any credit for their submissions. If they also agree the show will be released from all responsibilities of that submission to steveharveysfunderdome@gmail.com, they stand a chance to appear on the show, as some folks seen below already have.

Thus far, Funderdome images appearing in Getty Images gallery of photos give clues to the products featured thereon.

ABC’s Funderdome Season One Products

The “Episode 103” features The V-Smart Bar, which is described as an “all natural, healthier approach to feminine care” on Wombtique. The product includes glycerin and Goldenseal, the herb that is often taken by folks who want to quickly flush marijuana out of their systems for drug tests.

The Air Hook can also be seen in one photo from Funderdome, and YouTube videos promote poundpoms.com as well on the show.
