‘Teen Mom 2’ Jenelle Evans Spends Memorial Day Weekend With Jace After Barbara Is Awarded Primary Custody
Jenelle Evans reunited with her oldest child, son Jace, 7, over the weekend after reportedly being kept from the boy for five weeks.
While celebrating the holiday weekend with her family, including her two youngest children, two-year-old Kaiser and four-month-old Ensley, the Teen Mom 2 star shared a couple of fun photos of Jace.
“We had super heroes at our house today,” Jenelle Evans wrote in the caption of a photo of her oldest son and the oldest daughter of her fiance, David Eason. She also added the hash tag, “Bonding moments.”
Jenelle Evans then shared a photo of her son in a wagon with two dogs at the side and included a quote in the caption. It read, “Live for the moments you can’t put into words.”
Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara, were in court last Wednesday to address their court battle over Jace, and in the end, Barbara was granted primary custody of the child. That said, Jenelle Evans did score a notable victory when she was given a court-ordered visitation schedule, which she did not have before.
As fans may recall, Jenelle Evans complained on Twitter earlier this month about how her mother was keeping her son from her and even failed to allow them time on Mother’s Day. Now, however, Barbara won’t be able to keep Jenelle Evans from her visitation unless the reality star fails to make use of the designated time.
Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara have been at odds for the past several years due to their battle over Jace, and now, as Barbara retains custody of the boy, the tension between them is at an all-time high.
As her family drama continues, Jenelle Evans has been focusing on her own family, which includes Jace, Kaiser, and Ensley, as well as David Eason’s two older children, including daughter Maryssa, who has been seen on episodes of Teen Mom 2. She’s also been planning her wedding, which will take place sometime this fall.
In March, Jenelle Evans spoke to E! News about her plans to marry David Eason in the coming months and admitted that she wasn’t sure whether or not they would allow Barbara to attend the ceremony.
“The relationship I have with my mother is the same as it has always been, sadly. We have not decided if she will be invited or not. Our relationship is getting more damaged every day, but I have already told her this,” she explained.

Following the conclusion of her child custody battle last week, Jenelle Evans spoke out about the outcome, revealing that while she is now allowed to have her son during court-ordered times, she wasn’t completely happy with the judge’s ruling because she still doesn’t have custody of Jace.
“I’m not restricted to when my mom says I can have my son anymore,” Jenelle Evans explained to E! News, “and at the moment that’s all I care about. [I] just want to spend time with my son. He will be home one day but today wasn’t the day, sadly.”
Jenelle Evans plans to go back to court eventually, but for now, she explained, she will enjoy spending time with Jace as part of their new custody arrangement.
Jenelle Evans and her family, including her mother Barbara, are currently filming the eighth season of Teen Mom 2. There is no word yet on when the series will return to MTV.
