Possible DOOL spoilers might be ahead. If you don’t want to risk knowing what is coming up on the long-running series, then do not continue reading.

Since announcing her exit from Days of Our Lives, Arianne Zucker has had several interviews. The most recent one was with Soap Central. The soap opera actress was asked if she left the series too soon. It is a question many fans are asking since Ron Carlivati is the new head writer. Does she regret not sticking around to see what he would do with her character?

“As a career woman, you have to take risks. You have to do things that you feel are right in your heart. And as much temptation as there was to stay, I made a decision for me, and I like to stick to my plans. I know plans are meant to change, so I’m open to that, but I have a direction I want to go in, and I’m building that. So as much as I wanted to stay and see what Ron had to write, I also wanted to stick to my heart and my goal and my dreams.”

Zucker was also asked if there were any Days of Our Lives characters she wished Nicole had storylines with. One was Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy), and the other was Frankie Brady (Billy Warlock).

“Before I was even remotely close to being on the show, I used to watch Days, and I loved Frankie and Jennifer [Melissa Reeves]. I just absolutely loved the two of them, and I don’t know why, because they weren’t together an unusually long time, but it was just one of those things. So I would have loved to [have worked with] Billy Warlock.”

In a previous interview with Soap Central, Arianne spoke about Nicole Walker’s exit storyline. She couldn’t reveal any details without giving away major spoilers. However, the actress hinted that she hopes fans will be happy. She also teased that there is an opening should she ever want to come back. Zucker knows that fans just want Nicole to have some happiness in her life. Hopefully, her exit storyline will have her with custody of baby Holly.

As for what is next, Ladies of the Lake was just released on Amazon. It is a project that Zucker is excited about, and it actually includes some of her current and former DOOL co-stars. Marie Wilson, who used to play Summer Townsend, is on the show. Other Days of Our Lives actors that will be familiar in LOTL include Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis), Martha Madison (Belle Black), John-Paul Lavoisier (formerly Philip Kiriakis), Kyle Lowder (formerly Brady Black), Jillian Clare (formerly Abigail Deveraux), and Patrika Darbo (Nancy Wesley). On Twitter, the official account for the instant video series teased that making enemies was easy.

The end of the tagline added, “Destroying them requires talent.”

What do you think of what Arianne Zucker had to say about Nicole Walker and new head writer Ron Carlivati? Do you think she left Days of Our Lives too soon? Will you be catching the actress in her new role on Ladies of the Lake?
