‘Vanderpump Rules’ Stars Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright Celebrate Their Two-Year Anniversary
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are going strong despite recent rumors claiming the Vanderpump Rules couple is on the rocks.
Following reports of a possibly impending split, Jax Taylor took to Instagram to share a series of photos of himself and Brittany Cartwright, the latest of which was taken as the couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in Los Angeles.
“Back where it all started two years ago on our first date! Have a great day everyone!” Jax Taylor wrote in the caption of the Instagram photo, which was taken at the Santa Monica Pier on May 28.
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright first met one another in Las Vegas in early 2015, but according to Jax Taylor’s recent post, their first date didn’t happen until they reunited in Los Angeles. Taylor and Cartwright spent their Memorial Day weekend together at the Loews Hotel in Santa Monica, which is just a short drive from their West Hollywood apartment.
“Not a bad view for the weekend!! @Loews_Hotels #santamonica have a great day everyone,” Jax Taylor tweeted on May 28, along with a photo of the view from their room.
Jax Taylor also shared a couple of other photos of himself and Brittany Cartwright this week, one of which featured the pair dressed up in masquerade attire.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright first appeared together on Vanderpump Rules during the series’ fourth season. At the time, Cartwright had just moved to Los Angeles from Kentucky to be with the reality star and SUR Restaurant bartender and ultimately began working at a nearby Hooters. Months later, after the pair’s relationship became strained, Taylor and Cartwright moved into a bigger apartment, and she began working at SUR Restaurant as a waitress.
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright discussed the idea of marriage during Vanderpump Rules Season 4, and after Season 5, the couple began filming their own spinoff series, Vanderpump Rules: Jax And Brittany Take Kentucky, which features the couple facing the marital pressures of Cartwright’s family.
Following filming on the upcoming spinoff series, Radar Online claimed Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s relationship had reached a rocky point due to the ongoing pressures from her family to wed.
“[Jax Taylor] and [Brittany Cartwright] had a hiccup with their relationship because of the show,” a source close to the couple told the outlet. “He said he wants to marry her, but he’s not ready.”
Following the report, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright stayed mum about one another on social media, and Cartwright headed to Las Vegas with friends. At the time, her trip only added to the speculation surrounding her possibly strained relationship, but now that the couple has been spotted back together numerous times, its safe to say they are now in a much better place.
As for a possible engagement, Jax Taylor appeared hesitant to settle down during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. At the time, Taylor noted that he and Cartwright hadn’t been together very long but said that he could get engaged one day.
Jax Taylor also spoke of a future engagement during a 2016 interview with the Daily Dish.
“Before Brittany I was not about marriage. It was not going to happen for me. I didn’t believe in marriage. Not because I didn’t love Brittany, I just didn’t believe in marriage. It just wasn’t for me,” he said. “As time progresses, I’m starting to open my mind about it a little bit more because I do love her and that’s something she wants.”
