Angelina Jolie Reportedly Bonds With All 6 Kids On Memorial Day With ‘Mommy Time’: Where’s Brad Pitt?

Angelina Jolie and her six children, who she shares with Brad Pitt, reportedly enjoyed a traditional Memorial Day holiday at home, complete with a BBQ, according to a new report that describes the actress’ plans for a relaxing day. But amid the aromas of food for Jolie and her flock to feast, where was their dad Brad? Rumors have swirled recently about the possibility of a reunion, so did Pitt attend the Memorial Day holiday with the family?

A source told Hollywood Life about the special day that Angelina had arranged for the holiday, noting that the busy actress had cleared her schedule in order to devote it to the children.

“Angelina is planning to just enjoy her time with the kids, BBQ some food, and chill out,” said the insider.

“It’s rare that [Jolie] gets really quality mommy time — without having some work… but she cleared her schedule for the whole weekend.”

Reportedly focused on spending the day with her six children as a “regular mom,” Jolie kept the Memorial Day holiday weekend mostly “low key, at home,” according to the source. But for one of those youngsters, it was an especially busy weekend.

As the Inquisitr reported, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt turned 11 on May 27, and Angelina took her and some friends to Disneyland to celebrate. Pitt was not there, and the actor reportedly was paying his respects at the memorial service for late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

But according to Hollywood Life’s insider, Angelina made sure that the party didn’t stop with that visit to Disneyland.

“Shiloh [Jolie-Pitt] has some friends staying at the house, and she is still celebrating her birthday — it’s an ongoing party!”

In addition to just-turned-11-years-old Shiloh, Angelina and Brad’s flock ranges in age from teenagers Maddox, 15, and Pax, 13, to Zahara, 12, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. As for what role Pitt currently plays in parenting his and Jolie’s offspring during their complicated split, the publication noted that the actor “seems very willing to work hard at co-parenting.”

When it comes to Brad’s life since the breakup from Angelina, Us Weekly pointed out that Brad has become somewhat of a “chameleon,” with his ever-changing style as evidence of how he’s re-inventing himself in his new role as “single father.”

Following the news that Jolie had filed for divorce, Pitt made his first red carpet appearance at the Allied premiere in a black suit and chin stubble. But after surprising audiences at the 2017 Golden Globes in another dapper black suit, Brad hit what the magazine termed a new “fashion low” at the Lost City of Z premiere in Los Angeles.

Since then, Pitt has re-invented himself once more, giving off “old-school dad vibes” in a green plaid shirt, high-waisted brown pants, and gray blazer on May 16, 2017, in New York City. The actor went through another metamorphosis when it comes to his red carpet appearances, showing up at the War Machine conference in Tokyo in dress-down casual, including white pants and sneakers, an olive T-shirt, and a light jacket on May 22, 2017.

While Angelina Jolie reportedly cleared her schedule to spend time with the kids on Memorial Day, Brad recently issued his own statement about how he prioritizes his time when it comes to his work versus his children. Although Pitt remains passionate about acting and working, he emphasized that he loves spending time with his children even more, reported People.

“I feel myself as I’m older gravitating more to the producing side than being in front of the camera,” he shared.

“It’s a big commitment, a film, and it does take you away from your family. I just have to balance that.”

However, that doesn’t mean Brad is abandoning the world of filmmaking, noting that contributing to movies is “not less important.” However, the actor contends that films are “just not as important as family.”

As for what the future holds when it comes to Pitt, Jolie, and their children, Brad admitted that he’s still “figuring out the new configuration of our family.” And that puts the focus on the children.

“Kids are everything,” summed up Pitt of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox. “Kids are your life. They’re taking all the focus, as they should anyway.”
