Amber Portwood Breaks Down On ‘Teen Mom OG’ Amid Matt Baier Sex Tape Drama
As Amber Portwood and Matt Baier continue to face drama surrounding their possible plans for a sex tape release, the longtime reality star is seen breaking down in a Teen Mom OG sneak peek.
In the preview clip for tonight’s new episode of the MTV reality show, Amber Portwood breaks down into tears after her father comes up during a conversation with her co-stars, Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell.
According to a People magazine report, the conversation begins when Amber Portwood mentions the similarities in their childhoods and reveals how it was growing up with a parent struggling with alcoholism.
“My mom was the one who worked two f****** factory jobs and then worked at a bar just to pay the bills. I don’t want to talk about my father because he isn’t here anymore. I love my dad to death. That’s just the way it was,” Amber Portwood tells her co-stars.
At that point, Amber Portwood’s fiancé, Matt Baier, chimes in and right away, Portwood begins to tear up and says, “I can’t do this right now.”
According to Amber Portwood, the mother of 8-year-old Leah Shirley, she cared for her dad as he was dying. In response, Lowell says that the thought of losing a parent is “unimaginable.”
“It hits [Amber Portwood] sometimes, like it will hit her out of nowhere and it breaks her heart,” Baier explains to his co-stars.
“He told me he had eight months to live. He f****** lived for 10 years,” Amber Portwood later says.

Amber Portwood and her co-stars are seen in Puerto Rico during the May 29 episode of Teen Mom OG and their boyfriends and husbands, including Matt Baier, Taylor McKinney, and Tyler Baltierra, are seen during their trip as well. As for their other Teen Mom OG co-star Farrah Abraham, she was noticeably absent from their vacation.
Throughout their time together, Amber Portwood and her co-stars shared several videos and photos with their fans and followers on Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat, as they enjoyed taking in the sights of the island with their partners.
As fans may recall, Farrah Abraham has distanced herself from her co-stars in the years since she released her 2013 sex tape, Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom, and now that Amber Portwood and her fiancé may do the same, the drama between the two women is at an all-time high.
While Amber Portwood has not confirmed plans to release a sex tape quite yet, her meeting with Vivid Entertainment, who distributed Abraham’s sex tape four years ago, was confirmed earlier this month by both Portwood and her fiancé.
“It’s in consideration. I still have not made up my mind,” Amber Portwood explained to E! News. “I’m a business person.”

Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout, and Farrah Abraham filmed four seasons of Teen Mom before Portwood entered prison where she served a 17-month term for a probation violation. Then, after she was released in November 2013, Amber Portwood reunited with her co-stars for a fifth season of the show which was renamed Teen Mom OG.
Although Farrah Abraham wasn’t expected to appear in the series reboot, she was ultimately brought back to the show, much to the other ladies’ dismay.
