Ryan Edwards’ Fiancee Mackenzie Standifer Denies Drinking Underage On ‘Teen Mom OG’
Ryan Edwards recently faced rumors claiming he was using drugs and now, after the latest Teen Mom OG aftershow aired on MTV, his fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer, is facing rumors of her own.
Following the airing of the new episode earlier this week, fans began to wonder why Standifer was allowed to drink alcohol on the show.
On May 27, a viewer took to Twitter to ask, “Did anyone else wonder why they gave Ryan and Mackenzie champagne on the after show when she’s not even 21 yet?”
As soon as the post was shared, a few other commenters weighed in on the message, claiming Standifer appeared to be of age. One person even said the soon-to-be-wife of Ryan Edwards looked 35. Then, a short time later, Standifer, who made her reality debut during the first half of Teen Mom OG Season 6 lat year, took to Twitter to clear up the rumor once and for all.
“Plot twist: Mack is 100% of legal drinking age,” she wrote.
Ryan Edwards’ fiancee didn’t reveal how old she was, but after her post was shared, several people thought it was hilarious that she was having to defend her drinking.
“This is really what people concern themselves over? People need lives,” one person tweeted.
“Oh good lord!” said another.

Ryan Edwards began dating Mackenzie Standifer in early 2015 after splitting from Jordan Brown following a short-lived romance earlier that same year.
Throughout the majority of their relationship, Mackenzie Standifer has been on good terms with Ryan Edwards’ former girlfriend, Maci Bookout, the mother of his eight-year-old son, Bentley, and in October of last year, the couple attended Bookout’s wedding, where Standifer caught her bouquet.
Weeks after Mackenzie Standifer caught the bouquet at Bookout’s Florida wedding, Ryan Edwards proposed to her during a dinner date on a riverboat cruise. Since then, they have been planning for their November 2017 wedding. Although the couple hasn’t yet revealed a date for their upcoming nuptials, Standifer confirmed she and Edwards were planning to wed later this year while chatting with MTV News months ago.
Mackenzie Standifer also noted that she and Ryan Edwards would be saying “I do” in the same church where Edwards’ parents tied the knot.

While Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer have exposed plenty of special moments for the Teen Mom OG cameras, their time on the series hasn’t been all fun and games. In addition to months of rumors claiming Edwards may be using drugs, Standifer has expressed her frustrations with the network’s alleged edits, which have made her soon-to-be-husband look bad to viewers.
During one particular episode, Ryan Edwards’ parents, Jen and Larry, appeared to be quite annoyed by his lateness as his son, 8-year-old Bentley, waited to go trick-or-treating.
“Daddy just texted and he and Mackenzie are in some traffic,” Edwards’ mom told the child, via The Hollywood Gossip.
“He’s always late,” Bentley responded.
After watching the episode of Teen Mom OG play out, Mackenzie Standifer took to Twitter, where she wrote, “5 minutes late… whoop-dee-frickin’-do… Tip #1 for real life: Always be REAL in this FAKE a** world.”
Then, after a fan asked Standifer if she regretted joining the show, she confirmed, “Yes, if I’m being 100% honest I regret it every single day.”
