Gwen Stefani And Her Kids Prepare For Summer Vacation With Blake Shelton
Gwen Stefani and her kids will reportedly be treated to a fun vacation in Oklahoma in the coming months.
According to a new report, Gwen Stefani and her boys — 10-year-old Kingston, 8-year-old Zuma, and 3-year-old Apollo — are planning to travel to the home state of her boyfriend, Blake Shelton, for some outdoor family fun.
“Blake’s planning to take [Gwen Stefani] to his place on Lake Texoma this summer. He wants to take her boating and fishing and all that fun lake stuff,” a source close to Shelton told Hollywood Life on May 24.
As the report revealed, Gwen Stefani and her sons have spent tons of time at Blake Shelton’s Oklahoma home in recent months, and the boys have learned to love going off-roading and playing in the woods with the country singer.
“[Blake Shelton] grew up spending his summers at that lake, it’s only an hour from his hometown,” the insider explained. “He loves it there, especially in the summer, it’s one of his favorite places on earth. The only thing that makes it better is having [Gwen Stefani] there by his side. They’ll have cookouts and campfires and maybe a little skinny dipping with Gwen. That’s his idea of the perfect summer vacation.”
Gwen Stefani and her sons have been spending tons of family time with Blake Shelton since the couple began dating in late 2015, months after she split from the boys’ father, Gavin Rossdale, after 13 years of marriage. Most recently, the group was seen enjoying an Easter celebration together at the home of Stefani’s parents, and weeks later, Stefani shared special moments from their Mother’s Day celebration on her social media accounts.
As Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton continue to be seen together, the couple has been faced with numerous rumors regarding Stefani’s possible pregnancies and their alleged plans to get married. However, despite the ongoing reports, Stefani and Shelton have not yet confirmed any future plans for marriage or a family.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton first met while filming The Voice Season 7 but at the time, they were nothing more than co-workers. Then, two seasons later, after they both endured splits from their former spouses, things between them took a romantic turn.
“I won’t forget that day,” he told Billboard magazine of the moment he announced his divorce from Miranda Lambert. “I looked over at Gwen — who I didn’t really know — and she had these huge tears in her eyes. I thought, ‘Wow, she feels super bad for me!'”
From there, Gwen Stefani pulled Blake Shelton aside and revealed she was going through a similar circumstance.
“I thought it was going to be another one of those things-are-going-to-be-OK talks,” he recalled. “She didn’t tell me much, because we didn’t know each other at the time, but she said, ‘I’m going through something very similar to what you’re going through. I understand. And I hate it.'”
“That’s kind of how our friendship and bond started, that day,” he continued. “It went from that, to checking in on each other once a week through email — ‘This s**t happened to me, what happened to you?’ — to maybe three times a week, then every day, to ‘Hey, here’s my phone number if you ever want to text.’ Next thing I know, I wake up and she’s all I care about, and I’m wondering if she feels the same about me.”
