Zoe Saldana Recalls The Time She Wanted To ‘Hit Somebody’ During Her Pregnancy

Zoe Saldana confessed to nearly physically abusing her husband while being pregnant with son Zen, who was born in February — sort of.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star had plenty to talk about during her latest interview with People, just three months after giving birth to Zen. Zoe Saldana opened up about wanting to hit her husband, Marco Perego, and revealed her fears of her children living in a racist world.

Perego apparently forgot that his wife, Zoe Saldana, can kick butt – as seen from her numerous films, namely Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – as he almost got hit by the actress one time during her pregnancy.

Perego made a terrible mistake, and he should have seen it coming. The Italian artist shouldn’t have messed with Zoe Saldana when he ate more than his share of her ice cream, triggering Saldana’s anger and rage.

Zoe Saldana opened up about the incident, which occurred at some point during her pregnancy, to People, saying that it all started with the two, who also share 2-year-old twin boys Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio, eating ice cream.

Perego finished his ice cream faster in “two bites” — because he’s a “dude,” Zoe Saldana explains — so she offered him to lick hers but ended up being shocked by what her husband did.

“And I feel generous, I hand him over my ice cream so he can just take a lick, and he ate it in two bites!”

What was he thinking? Zoe Saldana reveals that she was “hurt” – understandably and legitimately – by her husband’s terrible act.

“I was so hurt. I never wanted to hit somebody so bad.”

But she stopped short of hitting her husband, who couldn’t even realize the magnitude of anger raging inside his pregnant wife at the moment and instead settled for a good, old-scolding session.

“I was just like, ‘Don’t you ever do that!'”

Zoe Saldana once caught her husband red-handed when he was checking her out, and she documented it on Instagram.

Zoe Saldana also opened up about what kind of future she wants for her three kids, and none of it includes a racist world.

Zoe Saldana, who has Dominican, Puerto Rican, Lebanese, and Haitian roots, revealed that her “greatest wish” for her children is that they never have to “grow up feeling conscious of the color of their skin” or where their parents are originally from.

Perego made headlines in 2015 when he decided to take his wife Zoe Saldana’s surname after their wedding.

Saldana spoke about the name change in her interview with InStyle that year, where she revealed that she had “tried to talk him out of it” and even warned her husband about being “emasculated” by the world.

“If you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world.”

But none of it seemed to bother the Italian artist, who, Zoe Saldana says, looked up at her and replied in his Italian accent, “Ah, Zoe, I don’t give a s**t.”

Last week, Zoe Saldana opened up about her struggles with post-pregnancy dieting. Speaking to Shape, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 actress revealed that she eats everything “in balance” and does not deprive herself of carbs.

“When I eat everything in balance, I think less about food and more about everything else. It’s about eating to live, not living to eat.”

Did Zoe Saldana overreact to her husband’s brazen ice-cream stealing efforts, or should he have known better? Sound off in the comments below.
