A bunch of exciting new details about the highly-anticipated full trailer for the much-awaited film Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi have emerged.
According to the ever-ardent Star Wars watcher and YouTuber Mike Zeroh, three trailers were put together for the film and that they are currently in testing. He revealed details about the scenes included in one of the trailers, which is set to be attached during the showing of Spider-Man: Homecoming and Dunkirk in theaters in July.
Zeroh says that the Star Wars: Episode 8 trailer will show more of Ahch-To, where Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) lived during his self-imposed exile. This is no surprise since much of the film is expected to take place on the planet, where Rey (Daisy Ridley) will be trained.
He also said that the clip will feature a glimpse of Chewbacca “that will excite fans,” which is good news seeing that the teaser trailer did not show the beloved Wookie.
Chewbacca will be in a tough spot come Star Wars: Episode 8 as he mourns the death of his best friend Han Solo (Harrison Ford). Thankfully, he is set to reunite with another long-time friend of his, Luke Skywalker, in the film.
The fact that Chewie’s big moment in the Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi full trailer is enough to enthuse fans suggests the possibility that this scene will be quite revealing in terms of the plot or will be some sort of a fan service that will astonish fanatics of the space opera franchise.
Zeroh adds that the clip will also provide an in-depth look at the space battles, which were only glimpsed in the teaser trailer. This is to give fans a better idea of the “state of the galaxy” in Star Wars: Episode 8.
With warfare brewing as the First Order is preparing to strike back at the Resistance, fans can expect the galaxy far, far away to be in a precarious and dangerous position.
Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is hell-bent in correcting his wrongs in Star Wars: Episode 7 – The Force Awakens to prove to his master Supreme Leader Snoke that he has what it takes to continue Darth Vader’s legacy.
The full Star Wars: Episode 8 trailer will reportedly conclude with a “money shot of a central character” comparable to Han Solo’s “Chewie, we’re home” moment in the second trailer released for The Force Awakens. That scene definitely had many fans talking for a while and got them more excited about the film as it was the first time in decades they saw the duo.
The comparison suggests that the moment in question in the Star Wars: Episode 8 trailer will get fans keyed up for the film by either a big bombshell showing a character in a situation that they would not expect.
As if the declaration of Luke to end the Jedi in the first teaser is not enough, the full Star Wars: Episode 8 trailer will reportedly feature a scene that will top that big revelation so fans will definitely be in for a shocker of a treat.
It is safe to say that more of the plot can be gleaned from this full trailer, which will also include shots that were supposed to be included in the teaser trailer that was shown at the Star Wars Celebration.
By and large, the trailer is expected to show where the characters are at in Star Wars: Episode 8. As it always goes with promotional paraphernalia, it should reveal more of the story.
Rumors have it that a The Last Jedi trailer will also be shown at the D23 Expo in July. This could be another one of the three trailers that Zeroh mentioned.
Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi hits the cinemas December 15.
