‘Monday Night Raw’ May 22 Episode: Spoilers & Results, How To Watch Live Stream Online Free

On WWE’s Monday Night Raw episode for May 22, members of the WWE Universe may get more insight into the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view. On last week’s episode, fans learned of several huge matches that will be a part of the upcoming event in Baltimore, Maryland. Among them, was a match to determine the new No. 1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship, as well as a special stipulation match involving the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Now there are just two episodes of the Monday night show left before the pay-per-view arrives. Will there be more matches added to the card, or new stipulations put in place for matches already scheduled for WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV?

For those who missed last week’s show, some Raw results spoilers may follow. According to PWMania, last week’s Raw included General Manager Kurt Angle booking several big matchups for the pay-per-view. These included the major announcement at the start of the show that with Braun Strowman out of action due to injury there will be a Fatal 5-Way to determine the new No. 1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s championship. Competing in this match will be Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor, and Roman Reigns.

In addition to that match, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss inflicted damage upon Bayley using a kendo stick during the Raw episode. That led to a backstage meeting involving Angle and Bayley, where the challenger requested that things get “extreme” in her match with Bliss. Angle scheduled the two to compete in a Kendo Stick on a Pole match for the women’s title.

These two matches are added to a WWE pay-per-view card which also features Austin Aries challenging Neville for his Cruiserweight Championship, as well as The Hardy Boyz defending their WWE Raw tag team titles against Sheamus and Cesaro. Additionally, Dean Ambrose will put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against former champion The Miz. In the latter of these matches, there is a stipulation in place that if Dean Ambrose happens to be disqualified, he will lose his championship on the spot.

With these matches currently in place, it sets the stage for an interesting lead-up to the upcoming WWE event. Bayley may try to gain some revenge on Alexa Bliss after last week’s attack, while all five of the competitors in the Fatal 5-Way will want to gain some momentum. Also, the Hardys and Dean Ambrose will be looking to continue to show exactly why they are champions. Will some of these superstars compete in individual matches against one another, or will there be a tag team match featuring several of the stars who will battle at Extreme Rules?

In addition, a recent heel turn on last week’s WWE show may become explored more on tonight’s Monday Night Raw. As WWE.com mentions, former tag team partners may now be enemies after Goldust attacked R-Truth last week. The vicious attack came after the two had failed to win the Tag Team Turmoil matchup on Raw to become No. 1 contenders for the tag titles. Goldust gave Truth a beatdown and then told him “Now that’s what’s up” to add insult to injury. Fans of Golden Truth will probably be looking to see if Goldust provides some sort of explanation for his actions and if it leads to a match between the two.
