Apart from this, reports have also emerged from the production line of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, stating that the output of the tablets would be increased to 600,000 available units by July, suggesting that a June reveal might indeed be imminent.

Noted Apple analyst from KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo has stated that there is a 70 percent chance of the Cupertino-based tech giant revealing the 10.5-inch iPad Pro this coming June at WWDC, according to a MacRumors report. Considering that the event has seen notable hardware launches in the past, there is a good chance that the flagship tablet might indeed make an appearance at the Apple-hosted conference.

According to a recent report from DigiTimes, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro began mass production around March-April, with supply chains manufacturing around 500,000 units of the flagship tablet to date. The production yield for the highly anticipated device is expected to be significantly increased, however, with reports stating that the volume of the flagship’s shipment is expected to increase to around 600,000 units in July. By the end of the year, Apple expects to see shipments of up to five million 10.5-inch iPad Pro units.

Considering these reports, it definitely seems that the spike in the production yield of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro is caused by the impending debut of the highly anticipated slate. After all, the upcoming flagship tablet has long been rumored to be set for a reveal, though it has proven elusive every time rumors point to a specific release.

Rumors about the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 are many, with numerous speculations stating that the device would be the most radical tablets that have ever been created by the Cupertino-based tech giant. According to the most persistent rumors about the device, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro would be able to squeeze in a larger display in a frame that has a similar footprint as the 9.7-inch iPad.

This means that just like the iPhone 8, there is a good chance that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro might also feature an edge-to-edge display. The quality of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro’s screen, however, is still up for question, with some rumors stating that the upcoming flagship slate would feature an OLED display and others pointing to a more traditional IPS Retina panel. Regardless of what display the device comes equipped with, however, there is little doubt that the upcoming device would debut with one of the best screens available in the market.

Other rumors about the 10.5-inch iPad Pro state that the device would be equipped with several features that are set to make a debut with the iPhone 8. Among these is a fingerprint scanner that is built-in to the tablet’s display, as well as possible wireless charging capabilities. The absence of a headphone jack has also been rumored for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro.

Specs-wise, the iPad Pro 2 is expected to be equipped with Apple’s rumored A10X chip paired with 4GB of RAM. Considering that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro would be running iOS, the powerful processor and the ample amount of memory would most definitely give users a premium tablet experience comparable to a full-fledged laptop computer. With the specs and features of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, Tim Cook’s vision of having tablets replace full-fledged computers with powerful slates would definitely be one step closer to reality.
