Kanye West reportedly getting his groove back in Wyoming.

Kanye West Reportedly Hiding Out In Wyoming To Get His Groove Back

Earlier this month, Kanye West dumped his social media accounts and reportedly bailed on Hollywood for the mountains of Wyoming. The reason? As Fox News reports, Kanye took to the relative wilds of Wyoming to get his “creative groove” back. Not because of an impending divorce or marital strife, as so many gossip columns have alleged.

Kanye West is in Wyoming just a few short months after reportedly suffering a serious mental breakdown. That incident, which took place last November following days of erratic behavior and concert outbursts, resulted in West being “hospitalized for observation” after a call was made to Los Angeles police, who opted to hospitalized Kanye “for his own safety.” While rumors have continued to circulate that Kanye West actually suffered a breakdown in that instance, the official story is that he was undone by simple exhaustion and dehydration.

Kanye’s hospitalization came just weeks after his wife, Kim Kardashian West, was robbed at gunpoint in Paris and resulted in the cancellation of his final “Saint Pablo Tour” dates. West spent several days hospitalized around Thanksgiving and has reportedly been struggling to get his groove back ever since. In the midst of increasing Hollywood pressure and “noise,” Kanye made the decision to bail to Wyoming and take advantage of the peace and quiet, says a source close to the rapper.

“He’s far from any noise. He’s far from Hollywood and is very isolated right now. He wants to get back into his creative groove.”

Before bailing on Hollywood and heading off to Wyoming, Kanye West shut down his Twitter and Instagram. He has also notably withdrawn from his normal pattern of hitting the red carpet and attending high-profile music and fashion events. In addition to being a rapper, Kanye is a fashion designer in his own right and the magic behind the label Yeezy. West is famous for showing face at fashion events, but he was notably absent from the Met Gala earlier in May. At that time, Kim Kardashian West claimed that Kanye was still in Los Angeles.

According to Kim, Kanye was simply at home during the Anna Wintour event, “taking some time off and really loving that.”

Pusha T, who often collaborates and works shoulder-to-shoulder with Kanye West, is reportedly working with the rapper now that he has headed off to rural Wyoming to do his thing in the studio. A source close to West claims that Pusha T serves as “inspiration” to Kanye, which is crucial as West struggles to regain his creative voice and find his groove.

“Pusha T has been visiting. He inspires Kanye to write. Kanye’s trying to find his creative voice again, and he has people there to help him get, and stay, on track. He’s still a little off and is trying to get himself back.”

A second source told the New York Post that the fact that Kanye fled to Wyoming isn’t at all odd for the somewhat eccentric world-traveler.

“He likes to work in remote places and be in the middle of nowhere as much as he can be. That’s his pattern. It’s what he always does. He goes away. He’s done Hawaii, Mexico, Paris, Malibu. . . It’s what he’s always done.”

While Kanye’s people haven’t confirmed that the star is actually in Wyoming, a friend close to Kanye claims to have spoken to West very recently and says that West “couldn’t be better” than he is right now. The unnamed friend also reportedly attempted to shoot down rumors that heading to Wyoming had anything to do with Kanye West’s November “exhaustion” incident, adding that it “has nothing to do with his “meltdown.”

“He’s jovial, happy. . . has a sense of humor. He’s doing great. He’s not locked in somewhere to regain himself. That’s crazy.”

Despite reportedly staying in Wyoming, Kanye was seen in Calabasas, California over the weekend; the rapper was reportedly hitting his studio in the city.
