Rihanna Dazzles With Chopard And Dior At Cannes Film Festival

Rihanna is proving she knows a good investment when she sees one, as she debuted her new partnership with Chopard, the Swiss watchmaker, at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. While Rihanna is still dedicated to her first love, music is presently taking a backseat to the artist’s love for fashion and diamonds. Cannes was even brighter with the celebrity’s appearance at the film festival, where she helped to promote her new line of Chopard products. Rihanna’s watch collection definitely stole the show, but that’s not to say the star wasn’t turning just as many heads with her new Dior gown.

Like The Name Says, Rihanna Loves Chopard

As WWD shares, Rihanna chose the 2017 Cannes Film Festival to debut her new partnership with Chopard and their dazzling Rihanna Loves Chopard collaboration, during a rooftop presentation in the Martinez Hotel. Rihanna wore a custom designed strapless black dress with matching tulle overcoat by Ralph & Russo for the event, which teamed her up with Chopard artistic director and co-president, Caroline Scheufele.

A row of models wore the items from the Rihanna Loves Chopard collection, as guests milled about the room to examine the pieces.

Petra Nemcová, just one of the models helping to promote the line, shared her love for Rihanna, as well as her admiration for the new Chopard pieces.

“She’s incredible in many ways, not just as a musician but also for her strong feminine energy and this message of being authentic and comfortable in your own skin,” Nemcová said of Rihanna.

The comment drew interest at the gathering and Petra was asked for her favorite Rihanna song, which she revealed was “Umbrella” from 2007’s Good Girl Gone Bad album.

“It’s early Rihanna, but it’s the song that really sticks in my mind,” said the model, who also serves as a brand ambassador for Tumi and Mercedes-Benz.

Rihanna And Bella Hadid Arrive At Cannes In Dior Haute Couture Outfits

People reports that Rihanna and Bella stunned in new outfits from Dior, as they arrived at the Cannes screening of Okja on Friday. For Rihanna’s part, she arrived wearing a bright cream-colored silk taffeta coat and bustier dress from Dior Haute Couture, but added a personal touch with a pair of rectangular white sunglasses.

Rihanna dazzled with jewelry that accented the gown, beginning with a diamond embedded star cuff bracelet. She also wore a black cuff, earrings, and two rings, all of which were highlighted with sparkling emeralds.

Bella Hadid also modeled a Dior Haute Couture at Cannes, though her dress was much more vibrant than the classic off-white color Rihanna had chosen. Bella, who so often opts for more revealing outfits, wore a bright red silk satin quilted gown. The model also wore a Bulgari’s iconic Serpenti High Jewelry necklace, which was made of diamonds and white gold. Ms. Hadid wore a matching Serpenti High Jewelry bracelet.

“Dior day Dior Makeup… I am always so honored to walk the Film Festival carpet.. especially in this beautiful gown @Dior@bulgariofficial make up by sweet legend @peterphilipsmakeup and hair by my love @jenatkinhair..in my favorite color of course… @diormakeup,” Ms. Hadid captioned an Instagram post in which she models the outfit.

As a brand ambassador for Dior, Rihanna is no stranger to the fashion house’s style and designs, reports People. The singer recently joined the Dior Cruise runway show, modeling coming fashions for 2018. Rihanna showed up for that event in a Dior natural fox fur cardigan with a matching leather belt. Rihanna also wore light blue jeans and a pair of black laced boots.

Completing the cowgirl look for the Dior Cruise show, Rihanna added a series of chokers and jewelry embedded with large chunks of turquoise.
