Reddit experiences outage (of sorts)

Popular social voting site Reddit has experienced major issues this morning, failing to display pages correctly in what one Twitter user described as Reddit forgetting its CSS.

Visitors to Reddit see the shot above, the content displayed, but the page rendering missing. The problem also caused Google Chrome to crash, at least the Crossover Chromium version I was able to test (the shot above though displayed in Safari and Opera as well). The problem has been on the site at least 30 minutes at the time of writing this post (5am PDT)

We’ll update the post if we hear anything on the issues.

  • Howdy, Duncan. I see you noticed the CSS nakedness; we weren't serving CSS for a short while.

We'd let you know if we were doing a redesign that drastic ;)
