Harry Styles Vs. Liam Payne: Are The 1D Members Feuding Over New Music Diss?

Harry Styles vs. Liam Payne. It’s a potential rivalry that could tear the One Direction fandom apart at its seams. A recent article in Hollywood Life stated that Harry was a bit peeved by Liam’s recent comments about his new music.

“Harry’s a bit surprised by Liam’s response about his music,” a source allegedly told the site. “He gets that Liam wants to focus on his own music coming out on Friday, but didn’t think it was necessary for him to lump Harry’s music into a certain category. Music is music.”

In a recent interview, Liam was asked about what he thought about Harry’s new song, “Sign Of The Times.” He responded that he wasn’t really into it because it’s not the type of music that he really listens to.

“Harry’s song I heard, and I’ll be honest with you, it’s not my sort of music,” he said. “It’s not something I’d listen to, but I think he did a great job of doing what he wanted to do. That’s the way I’d put it best, I think. I think the funny thing is, he’d say the same thing about me because he doesn’t really listen to hip-hop music.”

The alleged Hollywood Life insider added that this may be a “sign” of some jealousy on Liam’s part.

“Harry knows how well his music has been received and thinks Liam must be feeling a tinge of jealousy to make a comment like that,” they said. “Harry doesn’t take any of this personally though. He’s on cloud nine now and really looking forward to his upcoming tour, and movie release.”

But Gossip Cop, a site known for debunking celebrity rumors, warns that you should not take any claims that Hollywood Life makes seriously. According to Gossip Cop, the site has a notorious reputation for making up stories.

“No one close to Styles is talking to this disreputable publication,” the article on Gossip Cop reads. “Hollywood Life has spent much of this month exploiting Styles, as we pointed out last week, by running manufactured stories that are designed to game Google and dupe fans. With the singer in the media a lot right now due to his new album, the webloid has been trying to capitalize on the interest.”

It definitely sounds like much ado about nothing when you really examine Liam’s comments. He didn’t really say that the song was bad, just that it isn’t the type of music that he would normally listen to.

One thing that that the Hollywood Life article got right is that Harry is experiencing a wave of success right now on the back of his new solo album.

As Forbes Magazine reports, his new album debuted at No. 1 in the United Kingdom. The first single, “Sign Of The Times,” also debuted at No. 1, knocking Ed Sheeran’s juggernaut track, “Shape Of You” off the top spot.

He’s also set to start his first solo world tour pretty soon, where he will not be singing any One Direction songs, as Inquisitr previously reported.

However, although, he’s been racking up the success, so far, Zayn Malik is having the most success post One Direction, according to Metro UK.

The article states that Malik accumulated 13.3 million plays of his single “Pillowtalk” on Spotify during the first four days after it was released. In comparison, Harry Styles’ “Sign Of The Times” only got 8.8 million plays for the same time frame.
