Broadway Star Patti LuPone Goes On Expletive-Laden Trump Tirade: ‘He’s A F***ing Nut!’ [Video]

Hot off her recent fiery criticism of Madonna’s acting skills, Broadway legend Patti LuPone has now taken aim at one of the most polarizing figures in the entire world: No. 45 himself, Donald J. Trump.

The Life Goes On actress and theater icon, 68, was recently invited to chat with Broadway.com about her current role in the musical War Paint, when the chat temporarily turned to Trump as part of a larger narrative involving popular trends and notables; such as selfies, live-action musicals — and incidentally, the former Celebrity Apprentice host.

“He’s an f***ing a**, motherf***ing a**hole,” LuPone immediately fumed the moment Paul Wontorek, the interviewer, made mention of Trump’s name, as Gay Times shared.

“He’s a f***ing nut, he’s certifiably insane and he has compromised this country.”

After a breath, LuPone then touched base on Trump’s supposed sharing of highly-classified information with the foreign minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, during a meeting between the two politicos at the White House on May 11, as CNN and the Washington Post provides.

“The information the president relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government,” the latter publication detailed.

According to LuPone, Trump should be tried and jailed for committing treason immediately.

“Why are we not doing anything about it? Why is it taking so long,” she asked angrily.

“What the f**k is going on in this country?”

Wontorek also asked Patti to revisit her controversial Madonna comments from her appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, which the Inquisitr noted several weeks ago, regarding the singer’s turn in the 1996 big screen version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Evita (LuPone played the titular character during its premiere Broadway run, starting in 1979).

“Madonna is a movie killer,” the outspoken Patti partially remarked to WWHL host Andy Cohen about the “Ray of Light” songstress.

“She’s dead behind the eyes. She cannot act her way out of a paper bag. She should not be in film or on stage. She’s a wonderful performer for what she does, but she’s not an actress.”

As most probably expected, LuPone made no qualms whatsoever about calling out Madonna to Cohen.

“Do I regret saying [any of] that? Not at all,” Patti remarked.

“I think it’s a point of fact. Some [people] can [act] and some can’t.” she went on to say.

As for what she enjoys in the present mainstream, Patti beamed when the mention of another notable who got their start on the streets of New York, RuPaul, was brought up in association with the iconic drag queen’s reality competition, RuPaul’s Drag Race.

“I don’t watch [Drag Race], but I love RuPaul,” the actress warmly remarked, prior to adding that her still-busy schedule doesn’t always leave her with much downtime to tune into the weekly VH1 reality series.

“I watch [all my shows on] my computer: Silicon Valley, Veep, Girls, Billions, Homeland, Stranger Things, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. I watch a lot, just [not on TV],” she ultimately explained.

Patti also managed to heap extra praise onto Rachel Bloom and the CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which LuPone occasionally recurs on as the main character’s rabbi, after previously doing so on What Watch Happens Live.

“The only one who knows how to [pull off TV musicals] is Rachel, because she understands the spontaneity of it,” LuPone mentioned of Bloom, the show’s creator.

“When she or anyone [on that show] breaks into song, it makes sense.”

Patti expanded on her positive feelings for the show and Bloom with Entertainment Tonight back in February of this year.

“Of all the musical comedies on television or on the big screen, Rachel knows how to do it. And see, that’s the thing: I don’t think they know how to film musicals anymore. When you look at the old ones, you can see the dancers’ legs. That’s what it’s all about. When you have a dance number, you want to see their legs, not their chest and their neck. But [Crazy Ex-Girlfriend] knows how to do it.”

Reps for Patti LuPone could not be reached for comment on her Trump statement.
