Teresa Giudice Opens Restaurant With Joe And Melissa Gorga To Honor Mom Amid ‘RHONJ’ Season 8

Teresa Giudice is the proud co-owner of a new restaurant in New Jersey.

Along with her brother, Joe Gorga, and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, the longtime Real Housewives of New Jersey star is honoring her mother Antonia’s legacy with Gorga’s Homemade Pasta & Pizza in East Hanover, New Jersey. Antonia passed away in March.

“My mother loved to cook; it was like her drug,” Joe Gorga revealed to People Magazine during a private opening celebration at the venue on Thursday night, May 18. “I always told her I was gonna open up a restaurant for her. Then I got busy. While I signed a contract on this place we lost her. So this is for her.”

“We wanted to share her recipes with the world,” Teresa Giudice added. “I always would say, ‘Mom, everyone has to try your food!’ because that’s how I learned to cook.”

Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga’s relationship has been strained in the past but after Giudice completed an 11-month prison term at the end of 2015, they grew extremely close. In fact, Giudice’s prison term, as well as the current 41-month prison term of her husband, Joe Giudice, prompted the reality stars to repair their relationship and ultimately, they’ve agreed to go into business together, which has brought them even closer.

According to People Magazine‘s report, patrons of Gorga’s Homemade Pasta & Pizza will be treated to a number of signature dishes named after the family, including Audrina’s Rock Shrimp Arrabiata, Milania’s Pesce del Giorno, and Antonia’s Chicken Francese, as well as dishes from Teresa Giudice’s cookbook, Fabulicious.

Continuing on with the family theme, Teresa Giudice and the Gorgas lined their restaurant walls with black-and-white portraits of themselves and other members of their family.

Despite their past issues with one another, Teresa Giudice and the Gorgas have been enjoying a very friendly relationship with one another in recent months and while they are now spending much more time together than they have in the past, they insist that all is well between them.

“I think any time you’re working with family, you spend so much more time together—sometimes that can be good or bad, but thank God we’re doing good,” Melissa Gorga said.

“My sister and I were at each other’s throats for a while, but we’re back together, and now we’re gonna stay together,” Joe Gorga added.

Not only are Teresa Giudice and the Gorgas collaborating on their new restaurant, they’ve also teamed up on a line of pasta sauces with flavors including marinara, vodka, and garlic oil, all of which will be available to fans online.

In other Real Housewives of New Jersey news, Teresa Giudice and her co-stars are expected to return to Bravo TV later this year. However, when they do so, they will be without at least one former cast member.

“Unfortunately, I will not be returning,” Jacqueline Laurita told Entertainment Tonight in April. “I think the feeling [from the network] is that I no longer have an authentic connection with two of the season’s cast members.”

Although Laurita was offered a part-time role on the show, she didn’t want to take on the reduced part on the long-running series and ultimately opted out completely.

To see more of Teresa Giudice, Joe Gorga, Melissa Gorga, and the rest of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast, be sure to tune into the series’ upcoming eighth season. Although a premiere date for the series has not yet been set, Dolores Catania tweeted earlier this year that she believed fans would be seeing the show’s return sometime in September.
