Kristen Stewart Is Game For ‘Twilight’ Reboot — On One Condition

A Twilight reboot movie has been in talks for some time. Robert Pattinson recently talked about his solo spin-off Twilight reboot. Even Kristen Stewart has some thoughts of her own.

Twilight movie saga remained one of the most talked films of this generation. The film had a romantic angle between vampire and humans but the thing that made it break all the box-office records was its star cast. The onscreen chemistry between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson gave the meaning to the characters written by Stephenie Meyer. However, many even considered that the real life romance between Kristen and Robert was the main reason behind their fantastic performances.

After their highly publicized breakup, both the stars chose different and more challenging roles. But fans are still hoping to see them reuniting for another Twilight movie reboot. The talks of a reunion or a reboot came after the studio’s co-chairman teased the fans about the possibility of a new Twilight movie.

Patrick Wachsberger, co-chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, talked about how the studio hired Robert after watching his performance in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and how a new Twilight film is always possible. Wachsberger made it clear that there is indeed a possibility for the new film but it all depends on Meyer and how she wants to go ahead with the characters she wrote a decade ago.

“Not a certainty but it’s a possibility. It’s about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we’re here for her.”

After Patrick’s interview was published online, thousands of movie fans started talking about the possibility of a new Twilight movie. A fan even made a video featuring Nina Dobrev as the lead cast in Twilight movie reboot.

Over the years, Kristen was asked about the possibility of her reprising the role of Bella Swan. Kristen, who was currently in news for her topless scene in Personal Shopper, seems to be open to all the ideas of rebooting the vampire saga. She stated during one of her interviews that as an actress, she is open to all possibilities with a condition — the project does not hamper her personal space.

“Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people wanted to? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”

That being said, during her interview with Yahoo Movie, Cafe Society movie actress completely dismissed the idea of a new Twilight movie.

“The Twilight thing started off small and then got bigger, but [what was inside it] was always the same. To be honest, we kind of told that story. We made five of them, so maybe not!”

Similar to Kristen, even Robert recently shared his view on the new film. During Robert’s interview with Yahoo, he revealed that he is very curious about the reboots and remakes, but if the studio expands the Twilight universe just like other Hollywood films are doing these days, the 30-year-old actor said that he wishes to see Edward’s spin-off.

“I mean, I’m always kind of curious. Anything where there’s a mass audience — or seemingly an audience for it — I always like the idea of subverting people’s expectations. So there could be some radical way of doing it, which could be quite fun. It’s always difficult when there’s no source material. But, yeah, I’m always curious,” the actor further added.
