‘The Bachelorette’s’ Rachel Lindsay Reveals She’s In Love And Already Engaged–Who’s The Lucky Guy?

The Bachelorette’s Rachel Lindsay has revealed that she got her happily ever after when filming on the new season of the hit reality show wrapped. At a recent press event to promote The Bachelorette, Lindsay told reporters that she is engaged and “very much in love.” The Hollywood Life reports.

“I am very much so in love and very much so engaged,” she told reporters at the event on Thursday, May 18. “I am getting my happy ending!”

The Bachelorette’s host, Chris Harrison, confirmed that Rachel found her prince charming on the show and he couldn’t be happier.

“I can tell you she’s happy. It went well,” Chris said. “She’s great, I love Rachel. I found it easy to be around her, I enjoyed spending time with her. The production really fell in love with her.”

As an article on ABC News reports, The Bachelorette’s entire casting process had to change because Rachel is a lot different from past Bachelorettes. Rachel, the first African-American star of either The Bachelor or Bachelorette franchise, is also older than the women who’ve held that role the past. So, producers had to be more choosy about her potential suitors.

“She’s a little older, she’s professional, she’s set in her life and knows what she wants. We needed men who are ready to settle down,” Chris said.

“If you look at the bios and I know some of them are funny, but even the ‘tickle-monster,’ Jonathan, is actually a doctor. We have a lot of doctors!…. We have our personal trainers and our male models as well [there is one of each], but that’s important. You really want to have that wide spectrum because she doesn’t necessarily want a lawyer! She might but that might not be what she’s looking for.”

Racial diversity also played a big role in casting this season. The cast of this new season is more ethnically diverse than any other season of The Bachelorette or The Bachelor. Harrison said that the diverse cast was something very important to producers.

“If you don’t see yourself represented, no matter where it is, why would you go? Why are you gonna put yourself out there and try and be on this show that you know you can’t be on or you’re not welcomed at or you feel like you’re not?” he said of the cast of suitors. “We’ve been working on this for a while. Now you’re seeing the fruits of that labor: Rachel is our ‘Bachelorette’ and we have the most diverse cast ever. It’s not a theme, it’s just something you will see throughout.”

Some of Rachel’s non-white suitors include Demario, a 30-year-old executive recruiter from California and Fred, a 27-year-old executive assistant from Dallas who knows Rachel from elementary school. There’s also Iggy, whose real name is Ignacio, who works as a CEO of a consulting firm.

While these guys sound great, Rachel is the true catch. Besides her physical beauty, she also has a pretty impressive professional background.

The new star of The Bachelorette is an attorney who practices law in Dallas, Texas. According to an article about her in Cosmopolitan Magazine, she also studied Kinesiology and Sports Management at The University of Texas.

As Cosmo reports, she also has lots of fans among Bachelor alums including former Bachelor star Nick Viall.

“My heart is full of joy for you Rachel. Congrats!!” Nick tweeted when she was named the new star of The Bachelorette. You will be one hell of a Bachelorette!! Beauty & class.. you have it all!!”

The news of Rachel’s engagement makes us even more eager to check out the upcoming season. Can’t wait to find out who ends up being her knight in shining armor!

The new season of The Bachelorette premieres on Monday, May 22 on ABC.
