Is Amber Portwood responsible for having a Teen Mom OG producer fired from the show?
After filming the first half of the sixth season of the show last year, Amber Portwood took to Twitter to announce she wouldn’t be returning due to a lack of respect behind the scenes. Now, fans are learning more about why she may have threatened to leave the show.
According to a new report, Amber Portwood became upset after learning that a producer named Heather was spending the night at the home of her longtime nemesis, Farrah Abraham.
“They found out that she was frequently staying at Farrah’s house and that is not allowed,” a source revealed to the Ashley’s Reality Roundup on May 16, adding that the behavior went against the network’s efforts to “maintain professionalism.”
Although rumors have been swirling in regard to Amber Portwood’s ties to Heather’s firing, the outlet said she did not have the producer fired.
“Heather was fired from Teen Mom, but [Amber Portwood] had nothing to do with the firing,” the source alleged.
As fans may recall, Amber Portwood took to Twitter in December of 2016 and told her fans and followers that she would not be moving forward with MTV on the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG. She also said she had been dealing with a continuous lack of respect since filming the reunion special and accused someone of hiding something from the network.

After rumors suggested she had Heather fired, Amber Portwood took to social media to deny having done any such thing.
“Why would I do that to her…I mean I’m an a** sometimes but I wouldn’t really want her fired,” Amber Portwood explained to her many fans and followers. “Maybe if Simon and Farrah didn’t always party then she would have been fine. That’s all I’m going to say.”
A short time later, Farrah Abraham’s boyfriend, Simon Saran, weighed in on the situation and claimed Heather had been fired after Amber Portwood threatened to leave Teen Mom OG.
“Heather was fired because [Amber Portwood ] threatened to quit the show,” Saran tweeted, according to a report by Starcasm on May 16. “Then MTV worked out a ‘deal’ with her since she couldn’t handle the heat.”
“The deal was [Amber Portwood] stays and Heather goes. A way for Them to hide the truth about Amber and what goes on behind close doors,” Saran continued.
According to Starcasm, Simon deleted his previous tweets and replaced his posts with another that claimed he spoke the truth.
“Heather was fired because of the ‘deal’ [Amber Portwood] worked out last season with MTV,” he also noted.
In response to her co-star, Amber Portwood asked fans, “How would he even know anything?”
She went on to deny his statements and told fans he was “trash.”
“Man [Simon Saran], you and Farrah are obsessed with me..be adults if you can..and I would tag Farrah if I wasn’t blocked. Yet you keep talking,” she added.
As for Heather, she’s reportedly stayed close to Farrah Abraham, and the women appear to be working on a new project together.
“Guess whose back! #Family New Project #bestproducer #nyc,” Abraham wrote in the caption of a photo of herself and Heather weeks ago.
In response, Heather said, “Fam:)) love you boo boo!!”
