Farrah Abraham’s Mother Speaks Out: ‘I Miss Them Everyday’

Farrah Abraham and her mother, Debra Danielsen, haven’t spoken to one another since October, and the silence is taking its toll on Debra. The pair, however, disagree over what has caused the two to stop speaking.

Debra insists that the two are not speaking for a wide range of reasons, one of them being that Farrah Abraham isn’t a fan of Debra’s fiance, David Merz.

“While that’s not the sole reason, I think he has an awful lot to do with it. It’s a hard situation,” Debra said.

Farrah Abraham, however, insists that the rift runs much deeper and stated that “that was a lie” to Radar Online.

Debra and Farrah recently appeared on Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars Family Edition. During the show, Farrah Abraham accused her parents of hitting her with a belt and physically abusing her as a child. However, her parents denied that they did anything other than attempt to discipline her.

Farrah Abraham and her mother also engaged in a physical altercation in 2010, which lead to the police being called. Farrah insisted that her mother had beaten and bloodied her, while Debra remembers Farrah putting her in a headlock and threatening to kill her.

Debra is ready to put the past behind them, however, so they can continue to live life as a family.

“I love my daughter and God knows I love my family. David and I want a happy, healthy and close family.”

She also insists that she’s reached out to Farrah Abraham numerous times via phone calls and text messages and that the reality star has decided to ignore her calls.

“Farrah told me she’s taking a break. I’m very sad because I love Farrah and Sophia, they’re my life. I miss them very much. We’ve always been a close family.”

It is unclear when Marriage Bootcamp was filmed, but it became apparent that the pair had issues beyond repair during the show. In the most recent episode, Debra left the eight-day program for a day and a half because she was concerned she would “lose her boyfriend” if she didn’t accompany him to a beer festival. Since he had a surprise for Debra, she thought perhaps he might be popping the question, though it is unclear whether he did so during her sojourn from the family therapy.

Farrah Abraham felt incredibly abandoned when her mother walked away, saying that she obviously wasn’t taking the show seriously.

On a recent episode of Teen Mom OG, Farrah Abraham is seen celebrating Sophia’s birthday with friends and Debra. After the birthday party, Farrah tells her mom that she should probably look at getting a hotel and a rental car if she plans to stay to visit with the pair any longer.

According to Farrah Abraham, the issues between herself and her mother are not about her mother’s engagement but instead stem from the aforementioned physical fight that occurred several years ago.

She hinted that the pair would be working on it in an episode of Marriage Bootcamp.

“There is an episode where we talk about traumatic experiences, my mom and I, and we still cannot get on the same page. So, sometimes between lie detector tests and traumatic experiences, there’s just a certain point in time where you’re like, ‘Somebody does not have the wherewithal to take accountability to even remember things,’ and you’re like, ‘Why do I even want to be around them anymore?’ The best narcissists can block things out and act like nothing ever happened to just keep going,” she said.

Farrah Abraham has also made it clear that she will not be attending her mother’s wedding.
