‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Will Rosita Be In Season 8? Christian Serratos Not Seen Filming
The Walking Dead Season 8 cast is busy filming, but there is one person that hasn’t been seen on set. That individual is Christian Serratos, the actress who plays Rosita Espinosa. On Mother’s Day, she announced the birth of her first child. While that is a good reason to take time off from filming, fans are concerned about her status on the show. Will she be returning? If she hasn’t been filming, what happens to Rosita?

At the end of the Season 7 finale, Rosita was seen alive. She helped the other Alexandrians battle Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors. Viewers couldn’t help but notice the disgusted glare she shot at Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) when he arrived with the enemy. While the characters will be preparing for war, where is Rosita?
Since The Walking Dead Season 8 filming began, The Spoiling Dead Fans have been posting updates. On most days, they list what actors are seen on set. So far, Christian Serratos has been missing. The last update was on May 16, when the cast was finishing up Episode 2. It is still early in the season, so fans shouldn’t get too concerned about Rosita.
With Serratos giving birth just a few days ago, it is understandable that the actress is taking some time off. Filming can be stressful and many of the show’s scenes are action-packed. There is also the fact that Georgia is hot and humid this time of year. There is more to acting than just memorizing lines in a script. Although the cast does have stunt doubles, many of the TWD actors do their own stunts. Alanna Masterson is one of them. The actress, who plays Tara Chamblers, pointed this out on Instagram before quitting the social networking site.
Rosita’s absence in The Walking Dead Season 8 premiere can easily be explained. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, one of the Kingdom actors posted on Instagram a photo of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). The character was accompanied by soldiers from the Kingdom and they appeared to be at the Sanctuary. The photo was later deleted, but not before fans realized that it was a huge spoiler. The image means that Rick will be following the comic book storyline in the premiere episode. He will show up at the Sanctuary, but finds out that Gregory (Xander Berkeley) has already paid a visit to the Saviors.
Based on photos posted by TSDF, Season 8, Episode 2 is being filmed at one of the Saviors’ bases. As fans may recall from Season 6, some of the Saviors had a camp where there were huge satellites. It is uncertain if Rick’s group will be going back to this location or if this is another base camp with satellites.
As for where Rosita is, she could be back at Alexandria, at the Kingdom, or Hilltop Colony. She might have gone off on a supply run or went on some sort of mission. Depending on how much time Christian Serratos takes off from filming, fans could see her early in Season 8 or might not be until later. However, she did not die in the Season 7 finale. This means viewers will see Rosita at some point in the season.
