Meghan Markle Is In London For Pippa Middleton’s Wedding, Will She Overshadow Bride On Her Big Day?

Meghan Markle reportedly arrived in London days ahead of her much-anticipated appearance at Pippa Middleton’s wedding. Prince Harry’s girlfriend, who is apparently filming Suits Season 7 in Toronto, Canada, flew into London on Tuesday.

The Suits actress was driven straight to Kensington Palace after she landed at Heathrow International Airport, E! News reported. Meghan Markle, who has been dating Prince Harry since last summer, is expected to be present during all the ceremonial events related to Pippa Middleton’s wedding.

Earlier, there was much speculation about whether Meghan Markle would get an invitation for Kate Middleton’s little sister’s big day. Some reports claimed that Pippa Middleton feared Prince Harry’s actress girlfriend might upstage her on her own wedding day, and thus, she put in place a “no ring, no bring” policy, which meant only married and engaged couples were allowed to attend the wedding.

In the second week of April, a Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed that Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte would be attending Pippa Middleton’s wedding. The spokesperson also revealed that Prince George would act as a page boy while his little sister would be a bridesmaid at their aunt’s wedding.

“The service [wedding at St Mark’s Church, Englefield] will be attended by close family and friends, including The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Prince George will be a page boy, and Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid.”

Meghan Markle’s name was missing from the statement despite Kensington Palace confirming in November that Prince Harry and the 35-year-old actress were in a relationship. However, during the last week of April, news broke that Pippa Middleton had broken her “no ring, no bring” policy and had sent an invitation to Prince Harry’s girlfriend.

With the Suits actress attending the wedding as Prince Harry’s plus-one, there is a possibility she might become the center of attention and overshadow the bride. There are also rumors swirling that the royal couple is set to get engaged fairly soon. Prince Harry has reportedly received Queen Elizabeth’s approval for that, which makes Meghan Markle an integral part of the British royal family.

As the newest entrant into the royal family, Meghan Markle has been making headlines every day, and there is intense speculation about her and Prince Harry’s relationship and their future.

When Meghan Markle makes her appearance at the wedding, along with other royal members, this weekend, the actress is expected to create a media frenzy. Earlier there were reports that Kate Middleton was concerned that she might upstage her sister on her big day, and because of that, she decided to step aside and not be part of the wedding party.

Soon after Pippa Middleton announced her engagement to James Matthews, royal author Judy Wade told People that Duchess of Cambridge might not be a bridesmaid at her sister’s wedding because as the future Queen, she would steal the limelight from her sister, according to the Mirror.

“Kate would upstage her sister. It’s a tricky situation for Pippa. If your sister is a future Queen, she is going to upstage the bride and draw attention. Kate would want to be in the background as much as possible.”

Meanwhile, there is no information on what Meghan Markle will be wearing at the wedding. Earlier this month, E! News reported, citing a source, that the Suits actress had two separate fittings in Toronto for her ensemble.

“No word yet on what color hue Markle has decided on, but our insider shares her look will include a hat for the formal ceremony portion of the festivities.”

Pippa Middleton is getting married to hedge fund manager James Matthews on Saturday, May 20. And as Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Markle will make her first public appearance alongside the royal family.
