Zachary Christie: 6 years old and facing reform school for taking cub scout utensil to school

The insanity of the nanny state has reached a new low with news out of New York that Zachary Christie, a 6 year old student is facing reform school after taking a cub scout utensil to school.

Zachary Christie has recently joined the cub scouts, and was given a camping utensil that can serve as a knife, fork and spoon to school. He was so excited by the utensil that he wanted to use it to eat his lunch at school, and that’s where the trouble started.

New York schools have a zero tolerance policy on knives, and according to the New York Times, school officials concluded that he had violated their policy on weapons, so Zachary was suspended from school and now faces 45 days in the district’s reform school.

The paper reported that the school had to suspend him because, “regardless of possessor’s intent, knives are banned.”

Lets put this in perspective again: a 6 year old boy with a cub scout utensil is facing reform school. What has the world come to that a perfectly innocent 6 year old boy (with NO history of violence or trouble) is suspended from school for taking a utensil to school. An absolute disgrace, and a sign of the insanity that has fallen over parts of America.
