Dennis Quaid Files For Divorce

Dennis Quaid has filed for divorce from his wife Kimberly Buffington-Quaid.

The news shouldn’t come as much of a shock since Kimberly filed her own papers for separation in October. At the time, sources close to the couple said that the actor was cheating on his wife and was a “bad husband.”

It was the second time in a year that Kimberly attempted to end her marriage. She filed for divorce back in March but eventually had a change of heart and withdrew her petition. In October, however, the couple legally separated.

TMZ reports that Quaid would was forced to wait until November to respond with his own divorce petition because of a state law in California that requires people to have six-months of residency in the state before they can file for divorce. Dennis and Kimberly moved to California over the Summer.

The 58-year-old actor filed for divorce on Friday in Los Angeles. He is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two 4-year-year old twins, Thomas ans Zoe. US Weekly reports that Quaid is also offering to pay spousal support.

Kimberly is Dennis Quaid’s third wife. He was previously married to Meg Ryan, they divorced in 2001, and PJ Soles. That relationship ended in 1983.
