Kate Middleton Plays Field Hockey While Wearing High-Heeled Boots

Kate Middleton spent some time at her former prep school, St. Andrew’s, in Berkshire, England on Friday and the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted playing field hockey. Middleton didn’t just play around on the field, she was sporting a suede pair of 3-inch tall high-heeled boots.

Wearing a dark green tartan frock coat by Alexander McQueen, Middleton talked about her time at the prep school where she attended from 1986 to 1995.

Kate was also serenaded by a group of six-year-olds to the song “In Bonny Scotland” and she revealed her nickname Squeak. According to Middleton:

“There was one called Pip and one called Squeak – because my sister was called Pippa and I was Squeak.”

The students at Middleton’s former prep school also presented Kate with a painting of the classes mascot teddy bear which was colored with fingerprints by all class members.

Kate enjoyed some Scottish beef and dessert with the students before she played field hockey and then gave a formal speech to students and teachers.

During her speech Kate proclaimed:

“It was while I was here at school that I realized my love of sport … Sport has been a huge part of my life, and I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunities I had to get outside and play in such wonderful open spaces – though, sadly, there was nothing quite as glamorous as this in my time!”
