Demi Lovato Throws Support Behind Lindsay Lohan Following Newest Arrest

Demi Lovato wants everyone to know that she supports Lindsay Lohan in her time of need. While much of Hollywood, her fan base and even her friends have abandoned Lohan as she continues to unravel, Lovato took to Twitter on Thursday night to offer a show of support.

Lovato started her support of Lohan by noting:

“I really wish we could go back in time when artists were known for their work. Not their personal lives.”

She then targeted Perez Hilton:

“The media (not just you) don’t realize when you need to stop … This isn’t a headline for your readers. This is someone’s life…why does it need to become everyone’s business? If you believe someone needs help – help them.”

When Demi Lovato becomes the voice of reason we know something is wrong.

While Lovato has a point about professional versus personal lives it’s easy to turn the argument around and point out that actors and actresses in Hollywood practically beg for attention when they have new movies premiering or TV shows about to launch.

Is Lindsey Lohan entitled to a private life? Of course. On the other hand her actions have not been conducted in the privacy of her home. Theft of jewelry, nightclub fights and driving under the influence all occurred in very public settings, places that do not provide Lohan with the right to privacy.

In the meantime Lohan is believed to be drinking up to 2 liters of vodka per day, a rumor that if correct will likely mean more public incidents in the future.
