Francesca Eastwood will be the next Miss Golden Globe.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced today that the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher will step into the position that has been previously filled by celebrity offspring like Rumor Willis (the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore) and Laura Dern (the daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern).
Francesca will be the second Eastwood to fill the position. Kathryn Eastwood, the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Gia Mantegna, has also been Miss Golden Globe.
“I am honored to have been chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press to be Miss Golden Globe of 2013. I have watched the Golden Globes ceremonies since I was a little girl, and it means so much to me to be a part of one of Hollywood’s most illustrious events.”
HFPA President Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly said:
“Francesca comes from a very talented family and we are delighted to have her be our Miss Golden Globe. She is a budding actress and is a great addition as we celebrate the show’s 70th anniversary!”
Francesca Eastwood is currently a student at the University of California but she’s also embarking on an acting career. In addition to the reality show, Mrs. Eastwood and Company, Francesca has also landed her first movie role. Well, technically her second. Francesca also appeared in Clint’s True Crime.
The 70th Annual Golden Globes will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on January 13, 2013, on NBC.
