Tina Fey Makes a Great Sarah Palin, But What Do You Think?
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler of Saturday Night Live treated us to another spoof on Katie Couric’s recent interview with Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin. While the audience sounded like they loved it and I kept thinking about Fey and Palin’s resemblance (among other things), I want to know what you think. Was it dead-on? Was it funny? Was it offensive or even sexist? I’ve included the original interview for you so you can run a comparison.
Whether you find it funny or not-so-much, one thing’s certain: SNL won’t be running out of fodder. Not only will Palin debate Joe Biden on Thursday, but CBS will run coverage of “Vice Presidential Questions.” Katie Couric interviewed both Sarah Palin and Joe Biden as a part of the series, but Palin’s responses were branded as possibly “embarrassing” by Howard Kurtz. I’m on the edge of my seat!
Don’t forget to tell us what you think of SNL‘s spoof this time around.

Funny as hell! Also a bit sad – how many times do we see comedic parody with direct quotations from the person being parodied? Yikes!

I'm loving the bits and think they are hilarious! SNL is all about making fun of anyone and everything and think they are spot on with this one and I bet are wishing Tina Fey was still part of the cast.

I love Tina Fey's portrayal of Sarah Palin. However, the saddest part about this skit is that most of it is a direct quote of Sarah Palin's interview with Katie Couric. How this woman has gotten the Republican nomination for VP is beyond me, but I am loving the comic fodder that SNL is producing.
