Irish National Liberation Army (INLA) To Renounce Violence, Disarm

Dublin, Ireland (AHN) – The Irish National Liberation Army, a paramilitary offshoot of the Irish Republican Army, will renounce violence and dismantle its stockpile of arms.
According to sources, the INLA, a socialist paramilitary group founded in 1975 and responsible for 113 deaths during Ireland’s Troubles, will end its campaign of violence once and for all.
The INLA has been on a ceasefire with the Northern Irish government and the United Kingdom for years, but has continued to carry out organized crime activities within its area of operations.
The group is infamous for its 1982 pub bombing in Ballykelly that killed 17 people.
