Tiger Delivers Clinching Point, U.S. Continues Dominance At Presidents Cup

San Francisco, CA (AHN) – Tiger Woods added another feather on his cap after holing the winning putt for the clinching point as the United States captured its third straight Presidents Cup Sunday with six matches still on the course.
In 10 previous Presidents Cup or Ryder Cup appearances, Woods has failed to clinch a win for the American squad.
A birdie on the par-4 13th gave Woods a 6-and-5 victory over Y.E. Yang, helping the United States clinch 17 1-2 points for the win over the International side.
Woods also avenged a final round setback in the PGA Championship last two months ago courtesy of the 37-year-old Yang.
Woods, who established a formidable partnership with Steve Stricker, registered a perfect 5-0 mark for the week.
Fellow Americans Stewart Cink, Hunter Mahan, Anthony Kim and Sean O’Hair also contributed in the victory, taking the US to the brink following victories early Sunday.
The United States were leading 12 1-2 – 9 1-2 with 12 singles matches into final day of the Presidents Cup.
The Americans have dominated six of seven Presidents Cup matches.
