Lindsay Lohan Charged With Three Misdemeanors For Lying To Police

Lindsay Lohan has been formally charged with three misdemeanors for lying to police regarding her June car accident, RadarOnline reports.

The actress told police that she was a passenger in the Porsche that crashed into the back of a big-rig on the Pacific Coast Highway. The Santa Monica police, however, revealed that she was lying in their investigation.

The 26-year-old was charged with providing false information to authorities, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty, and reckless driving.

The charges are in direct violating of her 2011 probation that stemmed from her conviction for stealing jewelry from a Venice boutique.

Lohan was arrested around 4 a.m. Thursday morning in Manhattan after she allegedly punched a clubgoer named Tiffany Eve Mitchell in the face at Avenue nightclub.

An eyewitness said, “Lindsay was completely out of control. She was drinking way too much booze and was doing cocaine.”

The witness continued, “Lindsay went wild. She was kicking and screaming, cursing at the girl and then spit at her. The girl looked like she wanted to fight back at Lindsay, but was too startled by all the commotion to react.”

The charges and her arrest are just two more additions to a series of legal troubles Lohan has had in the past few years. In September, she was arrested in New York after an alleged hit-and-run.

Police were called to her home in October after she got into an argument with her mother, Dina. No charges were filed in either of the cases, however.
